  The salesman Richard Densu was wonderful to work with I hadn’t bought a new car for over 24 years and he rekindled my trust in auto dealerships. I rate him the highest and because of that I recommend Sheehy Subaru of Hagerstown. The sales manager and Finance manager and Sean in the service department who quickly handled the installation of several accessories add to my new car purchase each were equally wonderful to work with and they all shared the same qualities modeled by the salesman Richard Densu: thorough, knowledgeable, informative, relatable and concerned with my wants and needs. A refreshing experience with an emphasis on making my purchase a pleasant experience, without pressure.

  Few weeks ago, I drove ~2 hours to see a 2018 White Subaru Forester with 190,000 to buy for my daughter. I wasted gas money and a whole Saturday. They were extremely dishonest. What is so surprising is that they are still trying to sell this car ( has been trying to sell it for months) and I do not think they have replaced the AC in it. I spoke/wrote three different people (I will refrain from mentioning any names that were involved in this subject) and I truly feel they do not give a damn. Once I stared the car, I turned on the AC and it did not come on at all. I told the salesman that the AC is broken and it is the compressor. They are trying to sell a car without AC and NOT disclosing this defect. I do not know how can you expect anyone to buy a car from a dealership and before driving it out of the parking lot, you expect the buyer to spend ~ $2,000 in repairs. This is beyond disgusting. Once the salesperson had the AC checked, he came back with ~$2,000 written estimates to fix the AC and expected me to agree! The car is advertised as having an "A/C" BUT, it actually does not since it is NOT working at all. It is like selling a car and then telling a customer that if you want tires and steering wheel to go with it, you need to buy them separately. This is not how things work. This is false and misleading advertisement and you should know better. I do not see how did you not know that the AC is not working at all??? You are a car dealership after all and you see/inspect cars all day and every day. Before coming to see the car, I asked ( in writings) two questions: make sure that the AC and the power windows are working properly and I was told that you have the car "fully MD inspected" and this means all in working order, but that is not the case.

  The absolute worst car experience I've ever had. Bought a used subaru from them and it couldn't even pass inspection. The inspectors gave them a list of the things that needed fix and Sheehy did everything they could do to penny pinch and not fix the problems. I took it to two different inspectors SEVERAL TIMES!!! Each time Sheehy said they fixed the problem but did not. Apparently when you replace the struts you should do both at the same time but Sheehy only wanted to replace the one that failed, however they made me split the difference on the cost which was 300$ I did and then they ended up replacing the wrong strut. So I had to take it back and they had to eventually replace both struts. One of the struts they replaced looks old but thankfully after a nightmarish few weeks of going back and forth with Sheehy and the inspectors it finally passed. Both inspectors from different locations one I MD and the Other in PA said that Sheehy has been on a tear of late ripping off their customers. I haven't even mentioned all the negative things that happened. I rarely ever do reviews but for the absolute worst experience that I've ever had with any business i thought it was important. Maybe it'll save somebody from a nightmare experience.

  Sellers beware: After using 5 different online agency's to create an average value for the private sale of my vehicle, Sheehy reached out to me with a specific cash offer for my vehicle. After wasting almost an hour waiting, they presented me an offer of almost 40% less value than the previous offer in which they disregarded as if it never existed. They were going make me responsible for $2700 of "refurbishments" to a vehicle that was being sold privately as is. Basically charging me to maximize their profit margin. I'll never attempt to, or recommend doing business with Sheehy pertaining to selling vehicles to them.

  If you’re looking for someone who is honest, knowledgeable, and truly has your best interest at heart, ask for Richard! This is our third vehicle purchase with him, and there’s a reason we continue to come back. Every experience has been smooth, stress-free, and enjoyable.
