I had an outstanding experience with the team at Sheehy of Hagerstown. Having worked with several local dealerships over the years, I can confidently say this was my best experience to date. Ishan and Steve were exceptional—they took the time to understand my specific needs, patiently guiding me through multiple and feature options without any pressure. To wrap things up, Manny made the finance and protection coverage process smooth and straightforward. The professionalism throughout the entire process was top-notch. I highly recommend considering Sheehy Hagerstown for your next vehicle purchase.

When the air conditioning on my 2016 GMC Acadia stopped working, my regular mechanic did a pressure test and told me the compressor was fine but there were multiple leaks in the AC lines. However they weren’t certified to do the work and recommended I go to a dealership. On 4/14/26, I relayed this information to the Sheehy service associate. They diagnosed a leak in the compressor and told me the lines were fine and replaced the compressor for $1600. I picked up the car the morning after the repair was completed. Driving home from work that same afternoon, the AC wasn’t working again! I brought it back immediately. When they tested the system again, the technician told me “all the lines were bad” and “it lit up like a Christmas tree” from the UV dye. Just like I said when I brought the car in the day before. This time you wanted to charge me $2800 to replace the lines. I was shocked and angry, assuming they would have checked the lines while replacing the compressor, especially since I had told them the lines were bad. Getting it all done at the same time would save a lot of labor charges. I complained to the service manager and he agreed to reduce the labor fee and brought the fee down to $1233 and I was satisfied. I picked it up and was told they had “replaced all the lines”. Four months later, my AC stopped working AGAIN. I took it back to Sheehy and they diagnosed “a refrigerant leak from AC line from compressor to condenser”. I was charged $228 for diagnostics, and they recommended replacing the line for another $1575. Had I known it would cost over $4000 to fix the AC system I wouldn’t have done any of the repairs. Again, why would they not replace all the lines in the system on a 14 year old car when they’re in there replacing the compressor? After this, I don’t believe the compressor even needed to be replaced. It all seems disingenuous; that they were not doing a complete or proactive repair, knowing we would be coming back later to fix the rest of the system. I will not be putting any more money into this vehicle knowing how unreliable it is. There is even a Facebook group for “GMC Acadia Problems". Our experience with this vehicle and this service has turned us off of GMC vehicles and Sheehy Automotive group.

Just purchased my 2026 Terrain and love it. Cass was a pleasure to work with and very knowledgeable. The process was quick and easy and they gave me a great price on my trade in. I live 1 1/2 hrs away from the dealership, a little hesitant to go that far but very happy I did.

If only 0 stars was an option ... We purchased a brand-new 2026 GMC Yukon from this dealership, expecting the experience that comes with buying a new vehicle. Unfortunately, our experience has been extremely disappointing. The vehicle had less than 25 miles on it when we took possession. It has since developed a serious mechanical issue and has now spent more than 30 days in the service department. The service department has been unable to determine the cause, and the matter has now been escalated to GMC corporate and an engineer. We understand that mechanical issues can happen, even with new vehicles. What has been most frustrating is the lack of answers, the length of time our brand-new vehicle has been unavailable to us, and the uncertainty surrounding what happens next. We have been provided a dealer loaner, which we appreciate, but that does not change the fact that we purchased a new vehicle and have spent a significant portion of our ownership without it. We chose to purchase new because we expected reliability and peace of mind. Unfortunately, this experience has been anything but that. We hope the dealership and GMC ultimately do the right thing and make this situation right.

WARNING TO ALL BUYERS — DO NOT COME HERE. I am sharing this to warn others and encourage anyone who has experienced similar issues to document and report them. I drove over an hour because this vehicle was advertised as a great deal. After arriving, I discovered major collision damage that was not properly disclosed. The information advertised online, including the vehicle history information shown on their website, did not match what I uncovered after asking questions and looking deeper. The biggest issue was not the damage itself — vehicles can be repaired. The issue was the lack of honesty and transparency. Once I started asking the right questions, the answers continued to change, and I felt like I was being misled instead of treated with honesty. What makes this even more disappointing is being thanked for my service as a combat veteran while feeling like I was being lied to directly. Respect and appreciation are shown through actions, not just words. I will be reporting this experience through the appropriate channels. If you have experienced similar issues with this dealership, I encourage you to do the same and make sure your concerns are documented. To anyone thinking about buying from this dealership: DO NOT COME HERE. Do your research, verify everything yourself, and get an independent inspection before trusting what you are told. Protect yourself and your money. A vehicle can be fixed, but trust and integrity cannot be replaced.
