I went to Advance Auto Parts and I was helped by Two Gentlemen one by the name Muhammad he greeted me when I came in and he helped me at the register for checkout. But it was another gentleman in the back and I apologize that I forgot his name. He was Spanish working in the back and he got me a air filter. His name was on his name tag, but he said he went by another name. He did write his name on the box but of course I threw the box away. But he was very helpful not only did he recommend several different types of air filters but he also went into details on why it would be good for my car. But from the time I walked in and the time I walked out I appreciate their customer service.

This time, I was purchasing new windshield wiper blades (RAIN-X for the win), which I'd ordered online and needed to pick up/install. My order was ready for pick up in about half an hour (SO FAST), although I wasn't able to get there immediately. By the time I came back later that day, the store was pretty busy, with multiple employees helping multiple customers with car issues. I still only had to wait a few minutes for Muhammad to check me out, and he was incredibly helpful and friendly despite needing to juggle multiple customers with various issues. Dor ended up being the one to help me with the installation of the wiper blades, and he mentioned that it was his FIRST DAY at this location. He was so much quicker with the installation than I would've been, and even took my old blades to dispose of them for me. The whole process only took a few minutes, and made my day so much easier. I'll happily keep coming back here!

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
