If I could give zero stars, I would. This is the worst service experience I have ever had. The first technician replaced my windshield in April. Nothing seemed wrong at the time. There were no visible issues with the new windshield, and I appreciated the new wiper blades included with the service. But after the rain and storms in May and early June, I noticed a knocking sound whenever I used my wipers, along with a crack spreading like a spiderweb from the bottom of the driver's side of the windshield. Since the windshield was brand new, I contacted Safelite to have it inspected. It took a week and a half from my call to get a technician out. The second technician was respectful and knowledgeable, answered all my questions, and had no problem with me watching as he inspected the damage. When he removed the lower seal, we discovered the wiper linkage control was completely disconnected from its bolted position and had been held in place with a makeshift repair using a Bondo-like substance. This could only have been done by the first technician, since I had no issues with the wipers before the windshield replacement. The second technician explained that he could not replace the windshield that day, because it would simply crack again as long as the linkage arm was broken. He called his manager, and with the manager on the line, I was told in no uncertain terms that Safelite would cover the cost of repairing the broken part and replacing the windshield. That was the last I heard from the shop, despite my repeated attempts to reach them through customer service. I have not driven my car since then, and still am not driving it as I write this review. It feels unsafe to operate, especially with the frequent storms and severe weather we have been having, since using the wipers could damage the windshield further. Now for my attempts to reach the manager. A week after the technician's visit, I had heard nothing, so I contacted customer support. They tried calling the manager, got no response, and emailed him. A few days later, still nothing, so I called again. Same result: no answer, another email sent. More time passed with no contact. On my next call, customer support escalated to the regional manager and told me I would hear back within 24 to 72 business hours. That window came and went with no response. I called again, and they escalated to the district manager, promising contact within 24 hours. That deadline has also passed. It has now been over three weeks, and I have heard nothing about whether the part has been ordered or when my car will be fixed. This is ridiculous and unprofessional.

I do not like giving bad reviews and I have tried to get this issue resolved over the past couple of months and even went through our bank to get the charges reversed but they declined claim as it it up to Safelite to resolve. Writing this review in hopes for Safelite to fulfill its promise after showing up several times and doing my part as the customer. This is the timeline: 1/10 - Safelite appt to their Glen Burnie office. Received aftermarket replacement. Called Safelite shortly after and left a voice message about the HUD images blurry. 1/14 - Safelite called back saying they will need to replace it with an OEM but will wait for insurance to cover it before installing. 1/20 - Safelite appt for OEM repalcement. Tech replaced it but it cracked during installation. Will need to come back again. Made the appt for 1/27. 1/27 - arrived at the Safelite office. Office closed. No attempts were made to let me know their office will be closed or that my appt was cancelled. 2/6 - Safelite appt. No OEM glass arrived. 2/12 - Safelite appt. Again, no OEM glass. Due to all the driving back to the office for the appts, the manager told me they will cover the $200 deductible and have a tech come to our house instead of me driving to the office again. 2/20 - Safelite appt to the house. Tech Shaun called to cancel as he just realized he will not have the proper equipment to calibrate. Also, the OEM glass is still not available. 2/25 - Safelite appt. OEM glass finally installed. I double checked with their front desk to make sure I wouldn't get charged. They said I shouldn't and any text messages from them is just protocol. 2/26 - $200 deductible charged Crickets from Safelite after reaching out to them again. *Please Safelite, keep your word.* Two stars for politeness during this whole situation and finally getting the windshield installed.

Glass replacement is fine, but my radio, dash display and backup camera are not currently functioning. No power whatsoever. Worked just fine prior to the windshield replacement. Customer service rep couldn’t reach the local shop after calling them twice. She then tells me this is common and they just need to “recalibrate” it. I’d think that would have been checked prior to returning the vehicle!

I got a windshield glass crack from bottom to top from a pebles size ding it grew over time ignored it becuse i was clueless to the magnitude that little pebble caused. I never done glass repair but went online made an appointment and it was done quickly and professionally and that was like a year ago that situation happened, and still drive and the job done, still running strong, i can say from experience you need service this is a place where they can get the job done quick and right the first time ( prius 2011, owner)
