- MRmartina ramsaySep 8, 20265.0Came here today because my 2024 VW Atlas ran out of oil (Volkswagen, I could tell you multiple stories about that 😉). Bought two quarts of oil, poured them in and now the car changed it’s mind and decided that it had too much oil 🙄. Well, googled how to remove the excess oil which turned out to be very tricky because the car doesn’t have a physical oil dipstick. Went back into the store, got a fluid transfer kit just to find out that the pipe was too thick to insert into the opening. So now what 🙄 I was so annoyed at this point but Mr.Rob was there to help. He went back and forth and exceeded my expectations! He started thinking outside the box (which is a very rare trait these days), got creative and suggested some products (not originally intended for this particular issue) to make it work - and it did! The excessive oil is out, I am a happy customer and will definitely return to this location (hopefully Mr.Rob will be there again 😉). Top notch customer service and all of it with a fabulous attitude and a nice smile! Thank you 😊

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
