I had a great time working with Robert Helm on my first car purchase. The entire thing was smooth and the continuous communication and customer support during the process was amazing. They’ve taken great care of their cars and gave me a really good deal. I know I can trust them with my services and maintenance going forward with my new vehicle 🤗

I have had nothing but issues since taking my 2020 GMC Sierra to this dealership for repair. It started two years ago when I took it to them for an oil leak coming from the front main seal on the 3.0L Duramax. After getting the truck back, there was still oil under it at the next oil change, so I reached out to them about it. They looked at it, put dye in the system, then told me they couldn't find a leak, and the oil was probably built up behind the accessories on the engine. Before the repair, the truck had a slight leak, after the repair, it went through two quarts between oil changes. At every oil change after this, there was oil underneath the truck. Months later, GM issued a recall to reprogram the transmission, so I made an appointment to return the truck for this, as well as get the oil leak fixed again. They kept the truck for five weeks, three of which they gave me a loaner car. They told me the original front main seal repair didn't fix the issue and they repaired that again. After picking the truck up right before closing, after they had it five weeks, on the way home I started getting alerts to check the front safety system. They had the front end apart, so it was only logical to think they didn't put something back together. I called them the next morning but was told it had been put back together properly, and it must be a new issue. I didn't think that was true and scheduled to take it back to them. As soon as the technician looked at it again, I was told the front wiring harness wasn't connected, and they didn't reassemble it properly. There was also a front fender trim piece that wasn't installed correctly. I was told they needed it for a day to put everything back together and that they would try to get me a loaner car since this was my only available vehicle at the time. Shortly after this, we had a period where it was raining daily and I called to let them know that I was driving this truck with this harness unhooked, and it may cause a problem. The service advisor told me he would note it, but that everything should be fine. A couple of weeks later, all of a sudden, I started getting different random codes for exhaust, glow plugs, voltage, etc. They would come once then it would be something else each time. I went to go to work one day and the transmission wouldn't shift and showed a code of front and intermediate speed sensor low voltage. I called them immediately and told them, then was told to bring it in and they would look at it. They didn't feel it was related, and because my warranty ran out between the three weeks previous and now, while I was waiting for them to put it back together, I had to pay a diagnostic fee. After they looked at the truck, they told me it needed a new wiring harness and the cost would be $3,800, plus it was backordered for two months. I did not feel this was the issue. I felt like the water getting on the plug was causing slight voltage surges, which in turn started causing one, or multiple computers to fail. The service manager tried to tell me that wouldn't happen because the system is protected by fuses and relays, and they would blow. What he didn't know is I did electrical work for a living at the time, and slight voltage surges will not cause enough current inrush to blow the fuse or relay unless the current rating was exceeded. What slight voltage surges can do is cause computers and sensors to start failing. I took the truck back, ordered a harness myself, and due to my work schedule, it took almost a year to have the time to lift the cab, change the harness, and put everything back together. After going through all of that, the truck is in the same condition. If didn't fix anything, just as I told them it wouldn't. I called them trying to get this truck back into them and have it correctly repaired. They said the new service manager would return my call, which hasn't happened. On top of everything, I found items they broke when they worked on it and bolts loose or missing.

My experience was, without a doubt, the EASIEST car-buying process I've ever had! 🚗✨ Senior Product Specialist Ceidrick Marcelin was professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly efficient from start to finish. From our very first phone call, he kept me informed every step of the way through calls and texts. I told him exactly what I wanted, and he had the perfect vehicle at the dealership within 12 hours! We worked out the pricing ahead of time, and when I arrived, I was in and out in just two hours—signed, sealed, and driving away. The paperwork with Erik Stegall was seamless. Everything was prepared and ready to go, making the entire process stress-free. What really impressed me was that Ceidrick didn't just hand me the keys. He spent about 30 minutes sitting in the vehicle with me, walking me through all the features, setting up Apple CarPlay and OnStar, and making sure I felt completely comfortable before I drove away. This is exactly how buying a car should be! If you're in the market for a new vehicle, do yourself a favor and go see Ceidrick Marcelin at Ideal GMC. You won't be disappointed! 🫶🏽💎

I dropped the vehicle off at 7:45am for oil change (15k mile service). It’s only 2nd time after first oil change and I left work early at 3pm and still had to wait to get car at 4:45pm. If I had known drop offs get low priority I would have waited but thought I could work some and give you extra time to do oil change. Also no tire rotation was done with the service which is recommended by GM/Buick at this interval. Not best first impression.
