  Lady there told me to change alternator . Took it to mechanic and all I needed was a battery from advance auto parts. They just want to make money

  Went in to have an alignment but was told I needed to replace front arm control. Since they quoted me 1500 dollars I went for a second opinion only to find out that nothing was wrong with my car at all and an alignment was only needed because I got 4 new tires!

  Went in for a flat and they replaced my tire all fine, reasonable price on the tires. Staff was very nice. It took 2.5 hours which was way too long for what they did. Additionally, they quoted me for $5k of work I didn't need getting new brakes, struts, control arms, etc etc. I may not know a ton about cars but I know the basics. When they were showing me what was wrong with my "brakes" they weren't even showing me the actual brakes but just some random thing I could barely even see. Got a second opinion and they said brakes could be replaced but have more time, and all that other stuff was not needed and really overpriced. Be careful if you are a young women here, they will try to upsell you on stuff you don't need.

  We have gone to this NTB location 3 times and in the future will go to a local mechanic for any issues or maintenance. Our past experiences have been mediocre; the service was performed but took far too long both times (2.5-4 hrs), and each time they tried to add on additional services that we knew we did not need. Today I took my vehicle in for a simple front tire issue. They also offered to check the alignment. I said ok because I had forgotten that I had gotten this done the year prior (so the fact that they came back and said that I did need an alignment is suspicious). A different tech comes back during my appointment and says that I should get both my brake fluid flushed and have a fuel injector service done. I had never heard of the latter and declined (thankfully, because after a few quick minutes of research I found out that it is not recommended as routine maintenance for my vehicle). She kept pushing the brake fluid flush. I tried to decline because I was nearly positive that I had gotten it done last summer, but she kept throwing out numbers and saying that it really should be done in order to extend the life of the brakes. I relented because I honestly just wanted her to stop pestering me about it, but I felt uneasy. I waited a bit and then did some digging into my car manufacturer's recommendations and found, yet again, that it DID NOT need to be done based on the number of miles that I had driven & time that had passed since the last one. But by that point it was too late, because I checked in with the tech at the front desk to ask how much longer it would be, and he said 20 minutes as they had just started the brake flush. I didn't bother pushing the issue because at that point I just wanted to be done with the whole thing. This was at 10:38 (I arrived at the shop at 8:45, and they started service promptly after quickly wrapping up with the one other customer who was there). At 11:15 they were still not done, so I asked how much longer. They said they were just starting the alignment and would only be a few more minutes. They did not hand my keys off to me until after 11:20. So instead of the estimated 20 minutes, it took over 40. For a grand total of over 2.5 hours. Never again. If you absolutely have to bring your vehicle here, especially if you are a woman, I recommend that you bring a clear record of all recent and long-term maintenance that has been done (as well as services that are explicitly not recommended by your car maker) so that you can feel more confident pushing back against their 'recommendations' which are often pushed just to raise the price of the bill.
