- RSRuss SchuhartMay 4, 20265.0I would like to specifically call out Marivel at the store for her amazing customer service and knowledge on the Advance Auto systems. I needed to do a warranty exchange so I waited for her to be done with a customer on the phone. While I waited I overheard her being incredibly patient and helpful with what I could tell was a very difficult customer. She reiterated the same policy and challenges she faced in finding a customer order that did not have a phone number. She eventually did find the order by manually searching, explained the problems the customer caused themselves without being hostile or accusatory, and even offered to assist the customer if they were to come to the store and work out the final details. She was clam and kind even with the customer repeatedly asking for the Regional Manager's contact information, clearly becoming increasingly difficult, and eventually agreeing to some into the store and/or contact the 1-800 number for further service. After all that frustration, she still greeted me with a smile and was incredibly helpful explaining the difference between online and in-store orders for returns and warranty exchanges. Marivel was great and she impressed me with her patience, professionalism, and her knowledge.

What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.
How much does a car battery cost?
A traditional lead/acid car battery can range between $60-$120. The difference in cost comes from a variety of things, like the size of the vehicle or any special requirements needed from the battery, i.e. an increased resistant to cold or hot climates. HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
