  No idea how this place has 4.4 stars. I suspect all the relatives of the employees and owner most likely fluffed it up. Came here as recommended by Allstate and was given a broken OLD, scratched, headlight that they claimed cost $1200 and “straight from the dealership”. The “fixed” headlight had scratches and looked 100% worse than my old headlight which WORKED and had a minor cosmetic wear and tear from normal usage. They charged me for supplemental “fixing” and kept my vehicle hostage, while demanding us to pay $600 for “supplemental costs”. We were not given an authorization form for this supplemental cost and you could imagine the look on our faces when they refused to give us OUR car unless we paid for these extra charges we never agreed to in the initial estimate!!! Additionally, what kind of auto shop doesn’t give you a customer copy of sign-off authorization forms? Not only that, the paint job was horrible and the repaint was not even the same shade as the original car paint. Terrible all in all, asked for a refund and they refused to cooperate with us and told us to basically go kick rocks and suck it up with insurance. You are better going off to your local mom-and-pop shop for a fraction of the price with the crap job they give you, at least it will be darn cheaper. 0 STARS!!!! DONT GO HERE THEY WORK TO SCAM U ALONGSIDE UR INSURANCE AS OTHERS HAVE MENTIONED. Be warned.

  Overall experience was good. The service was done well. The only downfall was several people had communicated about the car which made it more confusion because so many people were involved. It was all cleared up and the car came out looking like new.

  In my opinion, anyone who has had collision work performed by Gerber Collision & Glass in College Park should have the completed repairs independently inspected. Gerber repaired my Toyota Prius after a rear-end collision in 2019. I drove the vehicle without another accident until July 2026, when I was rear-ended at very low speed in bumper-to-bumper traffic. The striking vehicle had almost no visible damage, but the rear of my Prius sustained extensive crushing. When I took my car in for repairs following this 2026 accident, I was informed that my Prius had neither its rear impact bar nor its energy-absorbing bumper material installed. I then obtained Gerber’s photographs from the 2019 repair. The 2019 pre-repair photographs show that both components were present when Gerber received and disassembled the vehicle for repairs. Based on the 2019 repair photographs and the 2026 pre-repair inspection, the impact bar was apparently never reinstalled, and the absorber was not replaced. These are safety-related components intended to manage energy in a rear-end collision. For years, my family, passengers, and I used this vehicle believing it had been properly restored. We had no reason to know that critical rear-impact protection was missing. The consequences in a faster collision could have been far more serious, particularly in this hybrid Prius with high-voltage components near the rear passenger and cargo area. I am deeply disturbed by the apparent failure to reinstall essential parts and by the lack of quality control that allowed the vehicle to be returned to me in this condition. This was not a cosmetic oversight. It compromised the vehicle’s crash protection and placed the life of every subsequent user of my Prius at risk. I would expect Gerber to investigate how this happened and explain what safeguards it has in place to prevent another customer’s vehicle from being returned with safety components missing.
