  This is my email to Mr Chaney, customer service rep. I attached pictures of the frt and rear pads. My adult daughter went to the Hunt Valley Jiffy Lube location on March 30 for an oil change. She was told the rear brakes were in the red, and the front brakes were in the yellow, both requiring replacement. Also, you offered a brake fluid flush. The paperwork stated that the air filter and cabin filter were fine. She brought the car by my house two days later. Attached you will find pictures of the front brakes that appear to be new, also rear pads less than 50% worn. Also, I checked the brake fluid with a moisture meter, and it was less than 1%. On the other hand. The cabin filter looked like a squirrel had been residing on top. There was a mass of "whirly bird" or "maple spinner" requiring me using a vacuum to clean. This is the reason people give bad reviews. Were all the repairs offered because she was a woman? I am a retired, ASE certified mechanic. This is a bad business practice. I've seen it many times and it disgusts me every time. This was his response: This is concerning. I have forwarded this to the District Manager. Please expect to hear from him. I have not had a response from the district office. That was over a month ago. Get your oil changed. Check your oil level before you leave. I would get a second opinion on any additional work.

  Shot out to Sean and the Cockeysville JF team. They provided excellent customer service and were very responsive. I visited for an oil change, and they were professional and completed the job in just 15 minutes—no problems or complaints at all.

  I went in for an oil change and was told they “couldn’t open my hood.” I was very rudely asked “Well who did you your last oil change?” My reply “Jiffy lube!” So instead of actually trying or offering any kind of solution, they immediately pulled my car out of the bay and sent me on my way. No effort, no explanation, and zero customer service. When I got home, both a family member and I opened the hood with no issue at all. The very next day, I went to a different Jiffy Lube location and they completed the service without any problem. This location is lazy, unhelpful, and completely unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and go to a real mechanic instead.
