Nice facilities. Bathroom, shower, pool, beach, 9 hole golf, tent for events, motel, workout, gas grills, tables, ... Fuel and pump out. New floating docks for lease, old fixed docks for transient boats.
At one time this must have been the place to go and could easily be again. For boaters it is not an easy entry. Tight maneuvering, close to shore and variable depth keeps you on your toes. Heard several stories of boats going aground. New Navigation buoys are helpful but not on any chart yet.
Restaurants are an issue. Bar and restaurant owners left and management is trying to get it under control. Previous marina manager was just fired. The marina has great potential but takes an experienced sailor to get a large boat in.

I grew up in this marina and haven't been in about a decade. I remembered it as a lively place where you could see people sitting out and socializing on docks, picnic areas, or elaborate self made tiki bars, or at least on the back of boats. It was a different world of tranquility and endless fun with the sound of a good time everywhere with background live music coming from the beach bar. At dusk the party would continue "up top" and music and laughter would continue into the late night. The only issue would be all the transients anchoring nearby or dingying up to join in on what was once officially "the best place on the bay." It's all gone. No restaurant. No beach bar. No good times to be seen anywhere... People silently sitting on the back of their boats scrolling on phones. I've only overheard one group talking about moving to new marinas. Transients are no longer a problem bc no one would ever want to come here. Its sad. This is the place you come when you want to end your life.

If I could give less stars, I would. Nothing that they advertise is available... No restaurant, no tiki beach bar, no shuttle to and from the beach. Never even saw a pool. Front office closes at 4:30 so if you would like to go to the beach after that, you must walk approximately 1/2 mile. Definitely not what they advertise.... We left about 1 hour into our stay. NOT worth it....

The lead technician, Nick, was GREAT. He is very, very competent and explained things well. He really tries to make your boating experience enjoyable.
All the other techs I worked with (Scott, Jack and Jeff) were also very capable and diligent.
