I’ve been there at least eight different times Within the last month for eight different parts. No matter how big or small, No matter the vehicle, No matter what…… This store has nothing more than motor oil and regular essentials. They never have anything else in stock. They’re the absolute worst. Then they act like they don’t wanna do nothing in the store. Asked for a little bit of help they don’t know anything and if they don’t know anything they don’t want to help you do anything or figure out Where specific things may be in the store. Please just get new management OR. Shut the store down

I placed a $100+ order online for pickup in the store. Online it stated the items were available in store. I went in to pick them up, and one of them was not available! The representative was nice and apologetic and advised it may be in the next day. He also refunded my money for that (the name on the receipt says "Charles B." and he was very nice). I called the next day (today) and explained that I wanted to check if the part was available before I bought it online. The rep. put a woman on who began telling me that 'she doesn't know how the online purchase works, I need to come in and pay for it to have them order it for me, and if I pay for it online, I can't get the one that would come into their store'. WHAT??!! That makes no sense and completely contradicts what I was told previously. When I mentioned that she yells, "that's what I want you to do sir, pay for it online!" After I reminded her that she JUST told me she does not know how the online process works, she said "Bye sir" and hung up the phone. I called back and asked to speak with a manager and she said "I am the manager" and hung up again. KEY JOHNSON is a prime example of terrible customer service, lack of knowledge of job duty, and complete ignorance. I ALWAYS shop at Advance Auto and she has given me my WORST EXPERIENCE EVER! Advance should not be accepting of her and her treatment of their loyal paying customers.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
