  A small star like crack no bigger than a quarter. The repair, almost $200 and it looks worse than prior to their work. The epoxy is opaque and only in the center spot of the crack. The crack lines still completely visible. Years ago, I spent a fraction of this price and you could not even tell where the initial mark was made. Why have we gone backwards in quality and 6, 7, 8 times in price. And process? Three phone calls to confirm, and a text, and employee being coached by manager right in the waiting room. Terrible experience, don't recommend it.

  Be careful. The “repair” is a bait and switch game. Your windshield will look exactly the same when finished. Only a weak statement that it might not look worse over time. Further, you have to accept that they might actually do damage during the “repair” that will require a full windshield replacement. And once you are there, you need to read a two page counter notification that informs you of the game and you accept it. I skimmed it. My mistake. And they will try to sell you other things you don’t need once they have you captive. For example, a cabin filter. Mine was replaced 2 weeks prior and they still reccomended replacing. I don’t think they even looked at it. This business is shady.

  Safelite is a quality glass servicing company. They work in a timely fashion , are very efficient, and very informative of the job at hand . I would definitely recommend Safelite.

  GEICO made it easy to replace my windshield - found a near by Safelite and made a next day appointment. Safelite installed the glass without any issues within 3 hours as promised and cleaned up. Very happy with GEICO and Safelite services. Highly recommend GEICO and Safelite

  Avoid Safelite Bethesda and Safelite Fairfax What should have been a simple windshield replacement turned into months of frustration, vehicle damage, and a lack of accountability. During a windshield replacement, Safelite removed vehicle components that did not need to be removed to replace the windshield. When they removed them, they permanently damaged the parts. The damage was not initially disclosed to me and appears to have been covered up. I discovered it only after inspecting the vehicle myself, which left me with the impression that Safelite tried to avoid responsibility. The unnecessary disassembly also raised serious concerns about the technicians' familiarity with the vehicle and the proper windshield replacement procedure. A routine glass replacement should not result in avoidable damage caused by work that never needed to be performed in the first place. The damage itself was bad enough, but the handling of the claim was even worse. For months I dealt with poor communication,, broken promises, and repeated assurances that management would contact me. Those calls rarely came, and when they did, nothing meaningful was done to resolve the issue. I ultimately had to threaten litigation to get anything accomplished. Instead of taking responsibility, Safelite seemed focused on delaying and minimizing the problem until I gave up. Based on my experience, I would not trust Safelite Bethesda or Safelite Fairfax to work on my vehicle, nor would I trust them to stand behind their work if something goes wrong.
