When I got home to install it in my boat I discovered that the positive terminal was too damaged to thread the screw on. I had driven 30 minutes each way to the store and back so I called the store to see if they could possibly deliver a replacement since the defective battery was their fault. I was told that I would have to return because they do not offer that service. Okay. Understood but you do it for your commercial customers. Also no willingness to offer a partial discount for my inconvenience. Additionally, the lady I spoke to on the phone kept asking for a part number which I explained was difficult since the battery was still in the boat. Eventually she got my transaction from my phone number but still insisted that I must return it for a replacement with no discount or store credit after which she hung up on me. I returned the battery and later learned that she was the manager. What a shrewd Business Woman. I will be taking my future business next door to their competition.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
