  I rented a truck for a one-way move from Canton, Georgia, to Belcamp, Maryland. When I made the reservation online, I was informed that the rental would automatically include and charge me for four days. When I arrived at the Canton, GA location to pick up the truck, I specifically asked whether I would receive a credit or refund for any unused days if I returned the truck early. I was told that I would be credited for the days I did not use. Based on that information, I drove directly to Belcamp, MD and chose not to make stops along the way to visit family because doing so would have extended the amount of time I needed the truck. When I arrived at the Belcamp, MD location, I was then told that I would not receive any credit for returning the truck early. At that point, I explained that if I was going to be charged for all four days regardless, I would prefer to keep the truck for the full rental period and make additional use of it. The associate at the Belcamp, MD location then advised me that if I returned the truck that same day, I could contact the Consumer Development Team in Georgia and explain that I had been given inaccurate information at the time of pickup. I was told that the team would be able to compensate me for the unused rental time. Relying on that information, I returned the truck early. I contacted the Consumer Development Team as instructed. After approximately 10 minutes, the representative returned to the call and informed me that their supervisor would not approve any credit or compensation. In summary, I made my travel decisions based on information provided to me by company representatives. I rushed my trip and gave up the opportunity to visit family specifically because I was told I would receive credit for returning the truck early. I was then encouraged to return the truck immediately based on another representation that the issue could be corrected afterward. Despite returning the truck approximately two days early, I was still charged for the full four-day rental period. I believe this situation was handled unfairly and that I relied, in good faith, on inaccurate information provided to me on more than one occasion.
