I needed a new battery because my car was barely starting, and I had previously taken it to a service shop that quoted me $100 more than what Alexis quoted me over the phone. From the moment I spoke with her on the phone, Alexis was incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. When I arrived at the store, she was just as welcoming in person as she had been over the phone. She installed the battery for me while we had a great conversation, making what could have been a “meh” situation a genuinely pleasant experience. Alexis provided outstanding customer service from start to finish. It’s not every day you come across someone who is both knowledgeable and genuinely enjoyable to work with. Overall, an all-around great experience! I will definitely be coming back to Advance Auto Parts for any future auto needs, and I highly recommend asking for Alexis.

(I called around 8am) and she told me they would call me once the part arrived to the store. 2:20 came and I didn’t receive a call so I called to confirm the part was there and she said it arrived. I told them I will pick it up later. I called back again, just to confirm that it arrived and another associate answered the phone and told me that the part was not in store. Not sure why the woman lied to me & told me the part was there & she would put it to the side but she didn’t. Highly unprofessional. Now I have to figure out another way to get this part when this store is the only one that had specifically what I needed. 😡😡

What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
