  I chose M & G Customs because they are listed as an authorized Unavi installer. I called for a quote, was given $425, and was told drop-off was first-come, first-served. I dropped the vehicle off after already paying nearly $600 for the hardware. When I handed over the keys, the technician asked what I had been quoted. I said $425 and was told, “Sounds about right.” Pricing for a standard authorized install should not have required that exchange. Within a few days the unit began failing: the screen powered itself off and on, audio would not stay on, and the unit eventually shut down completely. It also disabled the factory navigation screen, so I lost climate, radio, and other vehicle controls. I returned the car. They confirmed the unit was defective. I contacted Unavi. They arranged a warranty replacement and told me I would not be charged another $425 to install it. After they had the vehicle again, M & G texted that I owed an additional $225. The owner later said the original labor should have been $325—not the $425 I was quoted by phone. That extra charge was never mentioned during days of scheduling; it appeared only after they already had the car. Unavi refunded $225 so I could cover it. Unavi asked M & G for a video of the symptoms so they could diagnose correctly. That video was never provided. Unavi sent a replacement head unit based on my description. After the second install, the system failed again within a day: main navigation screen off, no vehicle controls. I returned the car a third time. Unavi then sent a replacement wiring harness. Once it was seated correctly, the system worked. The root problem was an improperly connected harness, not a string of defective units. A video and timely communication with Unavi would have avoided roughly two weeks of extra shop time and parts shipping. In June I bought two more Infinitis (QX80 and Q70L) and wanted the same system. Out of respect for Unavi I asked M & G for a quote on two more units plus install. I had to follow up four or five times. I even called the owner and spoke to him on the phone and he told me to text him the VIN number of both vehicles and that he would get right back to me. I never received an estimate and used another shop. Unavi stood behind the product. M & G overcharged relative to what their own owner later stated, installed the harness incorrectly, introduced a surprise labor charge after they already had the vehicle, and did not communicate adequately with the manufacturer. I will not use them again.

  M&G Customs got me right in and out quickly. They did a PHENOMENAL job. My husband really likes their work and I see why.

  They do good work. Plan to spend about 3-4hrs waiting. The door alarm is annoying but the fleas come with the dog...
