When I came back to talk to them about it they ignored me at the counter. As someone that once worked at an advance auto I’m ashamed and disappointed in how bad the service has gotten. 0/10 would not recommend. Also the lady was afraid to grab my oil can. Why would you work at a PARTS store if you don’t like getting your hands dirty on car parts. Smh doesn’t make sense

Then would not allow me to return an unopened and unused item, or even give me store credit, which would have been fine too. Then they gave the very next customer who happened to be A Vietnam Vet all kinds of trouble returning a core. After causing him alot of unnecessary anxiety, they finally gave it. Definitely would never shop there again. If I have to, I rather wait a day for Amazon and walk if needed. Terrible new store.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
