Kevin was pleasant about installing and giving me credit for the core charge. He suggested an upgraded battery from the factory one installed , an EFB style prior, and there was a wait to install, no extra charge though. Battery prices at AAP seem lower than the competitors and warranty better.

I was already frustrated because I had wasted my entire lunch break, and now I had to make another trip to return and exchange it for the correct part. Instead of going back to the original location, I decided to visit the Park Ave location, and I am so glad I did! I was greeted by Phil, who provided exceptional customer service from the moment I walked in. He took the time to make sure I was exchanging the correct part and even helped me choose some additional items for my vehicle. He was knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely went above and beyond to help. What really stood out to me was that Phil even held the door open for me and my 2-year-old daughter as we were leaving. It was such a small gesture, but it really showed the level of care and respect he gives to customers. I left completely satisfied, and Phil honestly turned what started as a very frustrating experience into a great one. Employees like Phil are exactly what can turn a bad customer experience into a reason to come back. I will definitely continue coming to this location specifically and will be returning in the future. Thank you, Phil, for the excellent customer service!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
