    Easily the most enjoyable car buying (or more accurately, leasing) experience that I’ve had in 40 years. My salesman Evan was down to earth, knowledgeable, and low pressure — Chandler the business manager was refreshingly direct and transparent. The dealership itself is under construction (until December?) so the current surroundings are modest, but they make up for it in enthusiasm and humility.

    This review is for a service appointment. I called Fathers & Sons Volvo in West Springfield and asked the price to have a key to my 2021 Volvo programmed, I already had my key, was just looking to have it programmed. I was quoted $249.95, I made an appointment for the upcoming Wednesday 5/6/26. Upon arrival at VW (temp location) I was told by Bev there would be an $88 charge for additional software which I was surprised about. I said that was much more than my quoted price and she said she would check w/service. She came back and said it's not $88 it's $140 for the software. I was upset about this because I was not expecting this amount. I felt like this was a bait and switch tactic and somewhat sneaky and sprung on me when I arrived with the new cost. I was upset and relayed my concerns to Bev when she returned with the new total price of $425 which was so much higher than what I was quoted for the job. She says "well… you do have a choice to not have it done..." I had already driven over an hour from Holland to have this done which I told her. Bev comes back and tells me "she and Patrick (Audi guy) spoke and she will take 10% off" I was appreciative but was still grossly overcharged from my initial quote. I hate to say it but it's things like this that turn a positive into a negative with a dealership and this small incident will cause me to go elsewhere when I'm ready to trade my car. When I cashed out Bev told me she had a firm talk with the girls who make the appointments about what happened, I told her it was not the girls fault at all and I felt I was up-charged upon arrival. Do I feel taken advantage of? Absolutely. Will this stop me from returning to Fathers & Sons? Absolutely. Be careful of the up-charges when you arrive at this dealership!

    I want people to know how customers are treated at this dealership. I would like to share a very unpleasant incident that happened to me and my family at Volvo Cars West Springfield. I am extremely upset, and this situation has caused me emotional and mental pain. On Monday, April 27, in the evening, when I was driving with my child, my Volvo had two flat tires. I was very scared by what happened. Volvo Roadside Assistance towed my car to the dealership I'm writing about. Our insurance for new wheels, which I changed just 3 months ago, includes new tire coverage in certain situations. The woman at the reception who took the car from me promised that she would do everything possible to speed up the replacement process. However, she completely ignored me after that. She didn't answer my calls and was very dismissive. I have personally visited the car dealership several times. Each time, she told me that she didn't know anything yet and that I needed to wait 3-4 days. She kept repeating that the request was in the “pending” status, but did not provide any real information about my car. I stood there holding my baby in my arms and asked if everything was okay, but she ignored my questions. I also asked if I could rent a car to visit a doctor since I don't have transportation. She didn't help. After three days, there was absolutely no progress. I was extremely upset and emotionally exhausted. I took the keys and headed for the exit with the baby in my arms. When I left, the woman at the front desk representing the Volvo dealership "used profanity.” I hope my experience will help others. No one apologized to me. I want this situation to be reviewed and made public.

    Beverly. Who works in service department. I was literally blown back by her service. People seriously deserve credit for who they are and she was GREAT and I didn’t even need any help in her department… she took it upon herself to just help me

    I recently purchased my fourth Volvo from Father & Son Volvo, and this was hands down the best car-buying experience I’ve ever had. Evan made everything completely seamless from beginning to end. He was incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely easy to work with—there was absolutely no pressure at any point. He went above and beyond to make sure I got an excellent deal on both my trade-in and my new car, and took the time to walk me through every detail so I felt confident and excited driving off the lot. What truly sets Evan apart is his level of service and care. He even came to my home to handle getting the car registered, which is something I’ve never experienced before. This was truly a five-star experience in every way. If you’re considering a Volvo, I can’t recommend Evan and Father & Son Volvo highly enough.
