- KCKevin Cook3 days ago1.0Have a 2020 Volvo XC90. In April 2023, it started leaking water from the rear view mirror housing. Took in for service and they stated it was a known issue, due to the sunroom roof seal shrinking and causing the sun-roof drains to clog. They replaced under original car warranty (5 year or 50,000 mile). Same issues happened recently. Took car back in and they said they seal needed replacing again and no longer under warranty ($800), even though it previously happened and they "repaired it". Car has been in for all regular maintenance. According to maintenance paperwork, it receives a multi-check inspection. I asked them about this inspection and why it never caught the shrinking seal, which according to Volvo is a known issue. No answer. When I asked if I was going to have to replace this again in 3 years, was told there is a 1 year, 12,000 mile warranty and seal should last 5-6 years.??? Not true as I replaced it 3 years ago. Not happy with service and will NOT be coming back her for regular service, when other options are available.
