I’ve been waiting over four hours today to get my tires installed, but the guy working on my vehicle kept stepping out for a cigarette every five minutes, or if it wasn't a cigarette, he’d go outside to check his phone and just sit there very casually. It’s incredible to see such a total disregard for other people's time; I’m still here after four hours, and the guy still isn't working on my car, amazing!!! Now the Asian guy who is supposed to be working on my vehicle is doing a job for a family member—it’s been over four hours, and I’m still here. Update: their Asian employee is terrible. The other two guys working were moving at lightning speed, without wasting any time; I had the bad luck of getting the worst employee this company has. Five hours have passed, and I’m still here.

Very disappointing experience — wasted my entire day and received unacceptable customer service. AVOID THIS PLACE BY ANY MEANS I came to this Goodyear location at 7:30 AM to replace one tire. I met Jonathan, who explained that they did not have the tire in stock but could get it delivered the same day. He offered that I leave my flat tire and rim with them so they could install the new tire as soon as it arrived, and I could simply come back for the replacement. I clearly explained that I had a donut spare tire, that I was traveling the next day, and that I needed the tire replaced that day. Jonathan assured me that the tire would arrive by 1 PM, so I trusted his word and left my tire there. At 1 PM, I called to check the status and another employee told me the tire had not arrived yet. I called again later but received no answer, so I had to drive back to the shop around 4:30 PM. The employee who spoke with me was extremely rude and unprofessional. He told me there were no tires available that day and blamed me for coming without calling first. I explained that I left my tire there all day because I was told it would be replaced, but he kept saying it was “my problem” and that he could not do anything for me. I asked why I should have left my tire there for the entire day if they were not going to complete the job. His response was that it was my own problem. When I asked for my tire back, he told me to leave it overnight and come back the next morning. I explained that I was traveling, that I had out-of-state plates (NJ), and that I did not want to continue driving on a donut tire, but he showed no concern. He literally grabbed my tire and dropped it at the shop door for me to handle everything myself. I would completely understand if the tire was unavailable or there was a delay — things happen. The issue is the poor communication, wasting my entire day, multiple unnecessary drives, and the disrespectful attitude from the employee. I had other things planned that day, but I stayed available because I was promised the tire would be replaced. The most frustrating part is that I went to another official Goodyear location only 15 minutes farther away. They had the tire available, installed it in 15 minutes while I waited, and provided excellent customer service. Jonathan later called while I was at the other location and explained that they actually had the tires when I was there earlier, but they simply had not replaced it yet. I explained what happened, and he was professional, apologized for his coworker’s behavior, and offered a $27 discount, which was applied at the Goodyear location in Malden. I appreciate Jonathan’s apology and effort, but the $27 discount does not come close to making up for the time wasted, extra driving, inconvenience, and stress caused by this experience. The problem was never just the money — it was losing an entire day because of poor communication and dealing with someone who refused to take responsibility. Unfortunately, one employee’s behavior completely ruined my experience with this location. If you value your time and expect basic communication and respect from a service shop, I would avoid this place.
