- ADAudrey DeCotis5 days ago2.0I went to Herb Chambers Volvo of Norwood from RI because they had a good amount of used Volvo XC60’s in stock compared to the 2 dealerships I went to in RI. A salesman was at his desk and approached me, introduced himself to me, and asked what I was looking for. He brought me a vehicle that fit the description, I test drove it, and all went well. I decided I wanted to purchase the vehicle, put money down to finance, and filled out all the paperwork. The car was reserved for me and I had the salesman’s contact info for the car. So this was now where my experience was not pleasant. I wanted to transfer my RI plates to my newly purchased vehicle. There was NO communication to me as to why it took 9 days to get my vehicle. I also had to find a ride to pick up my own car. The dealership doesn’t answer their phone and I had to call the car salesmen’s cell phone who had no info as to why it was taking so long to get my car. Turns out the volvo is a “mild hybrid” meaning has a battery on the motor, and RI DMV requires new “electric vehicle” plates so I could not transfer my plates. I just wish there was better communication through this buying process. I would not recommend going to this dealership unless you live in state.

I walked around for 30 mins while about 7 salesmen watched me, one even squeezed behind me and ran out the door. A few were having coffee and chatting, laughing and on their phones. Let me know all I needed to know.
