  On June 26, 2026 a Northampton MA Safelite technician came to my home and repaired my windshield very well in the work to be done and his communication around such. Three days later on the 29th a different technician from the same Safelite Northampton MA service station came to replace the windshield. His first response to my communication about him calling and not leaving a message was a text that I eventually received stating that the work order was done, he confirmed all exterior windows and the front of the car’s interior had been cleaned of repair debris and ended his message in letting me know that a customer satisfaction survey would be coming via email that would “degrade the work he had done on my car.” I went out to my car to find several chipped pieces of glass lying from the middle of the windshield’s bottom edge leading to the lower right corner of the windshield where a 1.5–2” rough tear (not a cut as there jagged edges) was made and left wide open exposing the whole corner of where the new windshield and the excess adhesive to the vehicle met. More pieces of chipped glass were inside of the two-side tear of my car’s rubber weather stripping (which had no weather rot at the torn site or on any of the stripping). A longtime locally respected auto repair manager who saw the technician’s damage when I drove it right over confirmed it was “carelessly caused” was “completely unnecessary poor workmanship” and made him question the quality of the replacement overall. The technician upon finding out that I responded to Safelite’s email later in the early afternoon asking if I had any concerns about my windshield replacement work done earlier that morning, texted me. He was upset that I couldn’t tell him directly but could tell someone else at Safelite about his work. Even after I replied to not contact me again as it was harassing, he continued to text before I finally had to block him. When my windshield is correctly replaced and the damage is fixed and not by Safelite in Northampton, MA which is solely because of one technician’s damaging work and completely inappropriate behavior, this nightmare of an experience will be done.

  Fantastic experience! The staff is very friendly! Matt worked on my windshield after a big crack. He was great and very helpful. I appreciate the staff there so much and will be going back if I ever (god forbid) need anymore replacements done!
