I scheduled a window repair with Safelite on August 4 and experienced repeated cancellations and rescheduling for nearly a month.
My first appointment was canceled shortly before the scheduled time because I was told the glass had broken. I rescheduled, but the next appointment was also canceled at the last minute for the same reason. I was subsequently scheduled for August 22 and then August 29.
My insurance company contacted Safelite Solutions, and during a three-way call, I was specifically advised that Safelite had my appointment scheduled and had the glass needed for the repair.
On August 28, the day before my August 29 appointment, I called because I had not received confirmation. I was then informed that the appointment had again been canceled because the glass was not in stock.
By that point, I had been given five appointments that Safelite was unable to fulfill.
I also experienced difficulty obtaining assistance. I was referred between the Andover, MA and Nashua, NH locations and made multiple attempts to contact someone regarding the issue without receiving a response. I ultimately contacted Safelite Solutions directly. A manager from the Nashua location eventually contacted me and advised that there was nothing further they could do and that the earliest the glass was expected to be available was September 14.
I understand that supply issues can occur. However, repeatedly scheduling appointments when the required glass was unavailable, providing conflicting information, and not communicating cancellations in a timely manner resulted in significant delays and inconvenience.
After nearly a month, I canceled the repair and will be using another provider. Based on this experience, I would not use Safelite again.
Gerson from Safelite was excellent!
My insurance company recommended Safelite as the fastest and easiest way to get back on the road with a new windshield. Looking back, I wish I had done more research and considered other windshield replacement options.
The staff was very friendly and professional, which I truly appreciate. However, I’m disappointed with the way the windshield trim looks after the installation. It appears jagged in one spot and raised in a few others, and overall it doesn’t look straight or properly aligned.
I’m hoping there are no issues when it rains, but at this point I’m a little conflicted about the quality of the installation. The people were great, but the finished appearance of the trim leaves me concerned.

Had 2 hrs to go on return home from a MA to IL roadtrip when windshield got slammed by an errant truck part. Luckily the smashed glass did not immediately spread so we could get home safely. Went to safelite.com upon return and was able to secure a mobile appointment for 36 hrs later AND safelite dealt with my insurance company so I did not have to do anything other than wait for the repair. Communications were great and tech arrived on-time. He did a great job and managed to replace glass, wipers, and cabin filter in less than an hour. And my ez-pass was securely reattached and my inspection sticker looked good as new. This is the second time I have needed a new windshield and both times safelite provided outstanding service. Nice to know there are companies still able to provide exceptional service from start to finish while making you feel like a valued customer throughout.

Paid for rain repellent at time of my windshield replacement. 5 day later In the first rain it's not repelling. Called customer service. After confirming my vehicle and windshield installation date customer service claimed that I did not have water repellent applied and did not pay for this service several times. I explained to them that i did indeed pay for this. Customer service put me on hold to call the installation location. After several minutes on hold they informed me again the repellent was not applied and I did not pay for it. This set me off. I drove to the installation location. Showed the manager my virtual receipt on my phone for the payment. They looked up my record and acknowledge indeed I had paid. My car was immediately taken into the shop and the water repellent was applied. I give corporate customer service 1 star and the location manager and technician 5 STARS. Do not trust the corporate customer service for a minute. They are not truthful or really misinformed. I told the customer service rep at the time I was experiencing a poor customer experience. They made no real effort to confirm my payment and I felt like they were blowing me off. This is know way to build a reputation of honesty, integrity and value to their customers or future customers. Would I go back there again? the answer is NO. Maybe next time I'll try a competitor.
