  I am extremely disappointed with my experience renting from Enterprise in Maynard Ma. We reserved a premium 8-passenger SUV more than two weeks in advance because our family needed the extra seating and luggage space for our vacation. To avoid any issues, we even called the rental location twice before our pickup date to confirm the reservation and explain why we specifically needed that type of vehicle. When we arrived to pick up the car, we were told that the only vehicle available was a standard SUV that was significantly smaller than the premium SUV we had reserved. Despite being told repeatedly that it was “the same,” it clearly was not. It did not have the seating or cargo capacity we needed. What made the situation even more frustrating was the lack of effort to resolve the problem. The customer service representative did not offer to contact other Enterprise locations or look for the correct vehicle. Instead, we had to make those calls ourselves. We eventually located the vehicle we had originally reserved at another Enterprise location, but it was about a 40-minute drive away. As a result, our family vacation started with unnecessary stress. We had to drive to another location, which delayed our departure by approximately two hours. This entire situation could have been avoided if our reservation had been honored or if the staff had made a genuine effort to find a solution. When customers reserve a specific vehicle weeks in advance—and take the extra step of confirming it multiple times—they should have confidence that the reservation will be fulfilled. This experience fell far short of the level of service I expected from one of the largest car rental companies in the country. I hope Enterprise improves its reservation process and customer service so that other families do not have to experience the same frustration.

  if you want to go through enterprise’s digital gatekeeping service, be left on hold for > 10 minutes only to have said gatekeeper end you the call and tell you to call back later, several times? this is the spot. that’s me, carless, until my repair is completed.

  The Maynard location for Enterprise is a cut above other Enterprise locations I have used. Quick and efficient customer service and a very clean car.

  Jackson is a top notch branch manager and the way he and the rest of the staff conducts their work is excellent He's simply the best of anyone whom I've interacted with in the local area. I came to this branch because my insurance rental was giving me back pain and the originating branch I got the car from was significantly distant from my workplace. While other branches simply told me to check in on a different day or struggled with offering alternative vehicles, he was very receptive to needs, and willing to find a good solution that worked for everyone involved. Their fleet appears to be in good condition based on the handful of vehicles I saw during my visit. I definitely will keep this branch in mind for my needs in the near future.
