I needed fresh tires and an alignment after a pothole hit on my Benz. I normally wouldn't go near a franchise like this. My reputable and local institution of a mechanic I've used for15 years was closed for the week. I normally go to him (40 minutes out of my way) for even oil changes. When you find a good mechanic, you keep him. I'm picky about my tires. They put some nice high end Continentals on. I was told I needed inner and outter tie rods too. Being a mechanical engineer for 25 years, I know a bit about a bit let's say. Upon checking (the warm and fuzzy they're supposed to give you by showing you while it's on the lift) I agreed they probably should be replaced due to age (not necessary as they claimed, but I keep my cars tip top). No big deal. I got the car aligned and left after dropping an inflated $2200.00 at a rather high labor rate. After driving the car for approximately a month and a half (maybe 500 miles, my commute is 6 miles and I rarely go far) I noticed the car pulling slightly to one side. Yes, center lane on a highway to verify, the basic stuff. Alignments are never perfect and there is a tolerance allowance for a reason. This seemed a bit beyond that. Minor pull, but enough for me to want to be sure my expensive tires were not wearing unevenly. My rims are offset and the tires cannot be rotated. I have to replace them rather than rotate. I took the car to my mechanic of fifteen years just to have him take a look. We both looked at the front tires and agreed there was some slight wear on the inner on one side and the outer the other. Slight. Enough to warrant a realignment to be sure. Unfortunately my mechanics alignment printer is down. They are quite expensive to replace. I watched the alignment on screen with him. If I recall the toe was off slightly. In hindsight I should have taken photos at least. I was unaware his printer was down at the time. My issue. I called Sullivan Tire to let them know. I explained to the person I spoke to that my mechanics printer was down, but I have a receipt showing payment for another alignment ($50 cheaper as well vs Sullivan). This is where things get muddy. I agree I did not have the printout showing in the alignment correction. I did have a work order and paid receipt from the mechanic I have trusted with every vehicle for well over a decade. This guy is so good, there are other people like me, who travel great distances just to use his services. Loyalty. At this point we are talking $150 on $2200 spent. All I wanted was a simple refund on what was a poor alignment. I shouldn't have to get 2 alignments in such a short time frame. Because I did not have this alignment print out, a simple refund in a redundant service became a corporate issue sent to "claims". " They should call you tomorrow" I was told. That day came and went. The next day, no call. Even the following day, no call. All of them business days. I wasn't asking for anything outlandish. I will continue to sit here and wait from corporate for my $150 back on the $2200+ I spent, if they do at all. I did find it interesting that the person I spoke with when I showed up said "he would put his technicians up against any garage". It's a tire shop that does repairs as a bolt on secondary service, not the inverse. I highly doubt Sullivan Tire can program an ABS hydraulic module on a Mercedes to electronically pair it to my car. I doubt they can do the work my ASE certified master mechanic relative can at his high end dealership, who also saw the tires and suggested a realignment. I found that statement to be rather disingenuous, though I do understand the meaning behind it. Now I sit here and continue to wait for a phantom "claims department" to call me (I am definitely not holding my breath). No contact info for this department given. Just a "they'll call you". I find it rather interesting that management does not have the ability to make an executive decision on a small refund of a much larger total purchase. It's not the money at this point. It 's the principle. I trust my mechanic implicitly.

Good service, comfortable couch in the waiting area. Full alignment & MA inspection took about an hour and a half. Very fair price.

Cheers babe. Thanks for the advice that gave me a busted timing belt. I know this place is right next to the triple a so like I expected that they might try to upsell me or something especially when they told me they wanted $200 to plug a car into the odb reader but they literally took all the oil out of my car and told me to drive it around the block and when that didn't work they reached into my car and fondled something and told me to drive it to a mechanic on Boston Post Rd to fix the timing belt. I waited two days bc that didn't sound right based on my research but then I thought "i should at least move the car out of their parking lot" and then I didn't even get it out of the parking lot before the engine bricked itself. Idk if that's what these inspection laws are about like if yall are giving people who have ugly cars the evil eye or something here or if that guy was just offended that I wasn't impressed when he told me he lives in Worcester like it's a reason I need to feel sorry for him.
