  It was great except when I went to drop the car off I took the car from Logan and dropped it off in Poughkeepsie. I thought I prepaid the gas and even asked the first attendant to confirm that I bring the car back empty and he said yes, but I’m being charged for an empty tank which doesn’t make sense because I certainly would’ve bought gas for $4.14 right up the street from the drop off, but my agreement was to pre-pay and so I dropped the tank empty and they’re charging me $7.90 a gallon. Hopefully this gets straightened out otherwise it was a good experience.

  While the entire process is smooth and easy, the car I was given was in the "luxury" line. Be the car was the most uncomfortable car I've ever been in, I own what most would consider a luxury car and this car was FAR from that. Not only was in incredibly uncomfortable all the way around, from the seats, to the way the car works, it was by far the worst car I've ever rented in my lifetime. And I've rented quite a few and driven a lot of different types of cars. This car was awful. My suggestion is never get any version of a genesis and don't let them give you one if you actually expect a "luxury" car.

  I would have marked this review as excellent apart from the initial pick up. Initial pick up was very smooth but just when I was ready to go and pick up my SUV I mentioned that we would be travelling to Canada. The chap at the desk informed me that SUV's cannot be taken into Canada. This was a bit of a blow as the third party site I booked through made no mention of this and, in fact, said hired vehicles could be taken there. Anyway Enterprise offered a couple of options of which, not fully aware what a "minivan" was, opted for a sedan. After about 30 miles out of Boston realised this vehicle was totally wrong for us. We then determined that US Minvans are in fact what we call/called People Carriers in the UK and we easily swapped our Honda Accord for a Honda Odyssey - which was much closer to the full SUV I was expecting. Anyway now we come to the EXCELLENT bit. On the day of returning the vehicle to Boston I had a medical emergency. Enterprise were totally helpful and facilitated for the vehicle to be returned to a different location at no extra cost enabling my son to drive us back to the airport for our flight home - we will certainly be using Enterprise/Alamo again.

  Enterprise rental was generally ok with a decent choice of cars upon arrival. What completely threw me off was this simple fact: on our last day of rental our airline cancelled our flight and many others too because of the storm, hence sending pricing for hotels around boston logan to skies. We tried to see how much it will be to extend the rental for one more day to stay away from nonsence priced hotels and enterprise web site gave us 980$ for one day extension!!! The fact that made it even more ridiculous was that price to actually rent the same class car on this very same day from the same enterprise location was 240$.!!!.. so yeah whatever algorhytms enterprise IT made, are made for one thing: rip off people in desperate situations. Im not sayintg that other companies wouldnt do the same but its sad to see direction business is taking.

  The agent at the desk was unfriendly at first until I made conversation with her. Told her I booked a premium cross over but did not want an Atlas at any cost as we had issues with both atlas' we had rented elsewhere and she said thats all we have. Asked her if we could change to a pacifica and She denied me straight out. Then I asked if she could radio the lot and ask if they had anything other than an atlas, she said okay and went to a locked room to chat with the lot. She came back and said we are sold out of premium cross overs so go to the lot and pick any vehicle.... okay? We spoke with Liam and asked for a Pacifica to which he replied "thank you" so not sure what the issue was with the desk agent. Was allowed to pick whichever one off the lot but turns out the one I picked needed front end repairs and shouldn't have been in the line up. It was too late by the time we figured it out that it wasn't safe to drive as we were in a tunnel in Boston with no turn around. We called road side assistance and they found us a replacement vehicle near us but we had to go out of our way to swap it out at another airport. Thankfully that vehicle was safe to drive. When we returned after 15 days back to Boston, I spoke to a manager and he gave us a discount due to our safety being at risk, and the inconvenience that was caused which was greatly appreciated. I understand that maybe the previous renters didnt report the issue and it was overlooked but there should be a better process to find these things before being rented out again. We haven't had our toll charges come in yet but wasn't offered the EZ pass like the customer next to us was, so that may be a shock in the coming weeks. Highly recommend checking over the vehicle before you drive off the lot for your safety and others.
