Enterprise reps went above and beyond to make the rental car process work as smoothly as possible. While we were driving a fairly new VW, the oil light came on during our rental. I contacted the 800 # and they offered to come to us to inspect or for us to drive to a convenient (and close) service location. Jacob at the Natick office moved swiftly to inspect and swap the car. We were on our way within 15 minutes which made us feel more comfortable driving knowing I had to return the vehicle at Logan the following morning. When we arrived at Logan the next morning, we mentioned that we had to swap the car and a rep alerted Mitch who to pull us aside to apologize for the inconvenience and to offer a concession. We appreciate all our points of contact with Enterprise to make the rental experience as positive as possible at Logan in Boston!

Rental experience was the worst I had ever had. The car had over 55k miles on it. It barely started a couple of times. It was in very rough condition. Scary. Strong smell of weed that made me and my clothes smell too. Damaged console. I tried to tell the lady about the car before I left and she walked away. I didn’t have time to chase her down. The only saving grace was when I returned it, I explained everything to the manger and he made it right by giving me a discount even though I didn’t ask for it. I just wanted him to be aware of my situation. He was nice and he apologized for my experience. I appreciated that very much. Hopefully the was a one off and I will rent from them in the future.

On May 4, 2026 / I called to extend my vehicle retail. I was given a price of $202.72 to extend. I immediately received an email from my credit card company with a charge of $404.44 – Which is exactly double the given price of $202.72 I immediately called back Enterprise and was told that $202.72 was a deposit and I would receive an email confirming this, and this deposit would be refunded when I returned the vehicle. I received that itemized rental agreement email with it clearly stating “Deposit $202.72”. I spoke with an agent at Enterprise; named Glynis and was told “that is what I will be charged (overcharged) and they don’t want to see the agreement I received that clearly says $202.72 is a deposit, as I was told. In summary was told a price of $202.72, and was charged double, I have a document agreement that $202.72 is a deposit. I want this corrected and my deposit refunded. I have about 2 hours into this issue Enterprise created and no refund yet. Monday, I will be filing a chargeback with Chase, and will forward all documents to them.

As a federal employee, when I travel I have to pick the cheapest available company and select a compact car. In the past, I’ve had the misfortune to have companies like Fox and Ace and cars such as a six year old Toyota Corolla with 63K miles or a Nissan Versa from Charleston to Jacksonville to Norfolk then back to Charleston. Brutal in a compact car with no armrest. On occasion, I get lucky and use Sixt and their selection of BMW’s. Can’t go wrong with that. This time I had to select Enterprise. I haven’t used them in well over 10 years and lost my Emerald status so I was worried what I would get for my trip from Boston to Portsmouth to Groton and back to Boston. Oh so pleasantly surprised! I was actually offered a choice of cars from Nissan, Kia and Honda. I selected a new Honda Accord with only 1200 miles! Very impressed and if given a choice, I would highly suggest you select Enterprise for your next rental car. Everyone from the front desk to the garage kiosk to the return line was fantastic. Friendly and professional and still treated me like I had a reward status with them.

Upon arriving at the Boston Logan Airport, we were shuttled off to an off site location for Enterprise Rent A Car. During traffic hour, this was about a half hour away. I would rather pick up and drop off my rental car right at the airport, which I do at so many other Enterprise locations. Upon arrival, I was told that for no extra charge they have given us a full size SUV. This is a practice at many of the Enterprise offices, especially when they don’t have the car available that you pre-selected to rent. Although they make it seem like they have done something really incredible for you by upgrading at no additional charge, a full size SUV is a gas guzzler and you will pay for it in the long run with gas. Not knowing the city, we opted to have the gas tank filled upon return, at their premium price. The extra charges charged to us for this service are $115.66.This might be their standard practice but we have never used this service before and obviously didn’t understand it. I can see if this was for a full tank of gas, but we only used 1/4 tank of gas. We will not be using that service again. Upon returning the car to the rental center the morning of our flight, the address given to us in our paperwork did not take us to the return center and we had to drive around and find it on our own. Not what you want to be doing at 5:30am in a city you’re not familiar with. As for the positives, the car ran well, was clean and had plenty of room for us and our luggage.
