  When we checked in at 0100am at the Boston Logan airport, I did the quick check in and just needed to walk to our car. I would highly suggest this to save time standing in line. Someone, at that hour, was available and got us situated and gave us a choice of 2 vehicles--friendly and helpful. Our check out process was extremely smooth--at 0530am at Boston Manchester airport. Someone was there to check us out. It took a matter of 5 minutes or less. During the trip, we had a concern, texted the number given and someone replied promptly. It was a GREAT experience.

  Alamo were excellent, the pick up at Logan Airport was seamless and Joy T was a delight. Friendly, knowledgeable and showed us some beautiful vehicles. We were upgraded to a larger SUV, a wonderful Nissan Pathfinder, for no increase in price which was outstanding. The process was speedy, slick and professional. The return process was equally stress free, and the fact that we didn’t have to refuel before handing it back was such a relief. Alamo aren’t the cheapest, but I can’t imagine any other rental company being better. Our go-to car rental company for future vacation rentals!

  I rented this time from Alamo at Logan’s car rental center. The rental lines at this facility can be daunting, but the line for Alamo was super short. Not only that, a woman at the neighboring enterprise counter is who actually helped me; I guess they are partners? It was super helpful to have multiple counters working for the same company and towards the same goal: to get you your vehicle and get you on your way! The woman was exceptionally helpful, clear concise and speedy. The phrase “wham bam thank you m’am” comes to mind 🤣 but in a good way. She gave me her name and offered her direct line should I need help with the rental, and sent me on my way to the garage. At the garage, there was a very pleasant employee waiting at the automatic doors, and she complimented my Deadpool outfit (bonus points for her because she did actually know it was Deadpool and she said she also loves Deadpool) and then pointed us to the side of the parking area with the waiting vehicles; at which point another extremely pleasant and eager employee greeted us and said “we don’t have the vehicle you requested so you get an upgrade for free!” Dontcha just love when that happens?! It was a bigger car than I’m used to driving but it was perfect for our occasion nonetheless. He waited patiently while I conducted my inspection of the car before getting in, and made sure we were satisfied before he walked away. There was yet another pleasant gregarious employee right before the exit gate that approached me on foot and checked my rental docs and license, because there was a hold up at the gate. He was distracting me with humor, and after a day of air travel and in anticipation of upcoming road travel, light hearted banter is appreciated. The vehicle itself was a palisade, and it was in top notch condition. It had over 10k miles on it but drove like it was straight off the lot. Super clean interior, and seat warmers that worked like a dream lol (it was cold the week were there so they can in handy!) It was more spacious than we needed but it gave us the option to schlep our bikes out to some trails that we wouldn’t have considered doing this trip if we had gotten the smaller vehicle. Tolls are by plate; there’s just no getting around that unless you have a transponder thing. Coming from Miami Florida, we did not. I believe this was my first time in a while renting with Alamo. I typically pick the most economical which leads me to thrifty or dollar, but Alamo beat their prices this year, and honestly, for their exceptional customer service and just overall pleasantness, I would rent with them again, even if they weren’t the least expensive. They made the rental pick up and return a positive experience, and for that they deserve my patronage.

  We picked up our rental car at the Boston Airport (unfortunately at 1:15 am, because of a flight change by Southwest). We had reserved a mid size SUV but when we arrived, the only options available were sedans (not a fun option for a 6' - 5" guy), a mini van or a huge, mammoth Jeep Wagoneer... So, mini van it was. It was actually a very comfortable ride although there was a little bit of road noise on the left side. Wind shield wipers also could be replaced. Worked, but streaky. We ended up putting 1000 miles in 6 days and we got great gas milage. Overall, it was a pretty decent ride. When we returned the car, we took the shuttle to the airport when my wife realized that she left her jacket and small backpack in the back seat. It was about 1/2 hour time elapsed by the time I got back to the rental center. I spoke to the floor manager about that and he said he'd track down the car. I described the jacket and backpack and the young lady in the customer service booth, stepped out and said, "are these them?" --- Yes! Because of their customer service, I will rent again from Alamo. Hopefully, getting the center before the middle of the night! :-)

  The check in and check out process was fine. However the car's keys had a weak battery and the casing required electrical tape to keep it from coming apart. We were on a long trip to visit our daughter and had to miss the first evening's events -- we became stuck at our hotel because the car did not recognize the key's weak signal. The next morning I figured out how to get the car to see the key (by having to slap it against my thigh). This resolved the problem, which was good because it remained a problem throughout the rental. I called the support line and the solution I was given was to either make do or I could drive 50 miles to swap out the car. I liked the car well enough, but the issue with the key caused a large headache.
