    Do not rent from this Enterprise in Chelmsford! They don’t return deposits and on top of that they tried charging my account $100 with a notification, email, phone call, etc. They are quick to charge but forget about seeing your deposit or getting a phone call back from anyone!! Worse customer service ever!

    Rented a car here to drive one-way to Cincinnati. Stopped at another location on the drive to ask a question about car functions, and had no problem switching drop-off location. The experience was great all the way through. Seemed everyone was cool and helpful and enjoyed their work. So refreshing these days it's worthy of note! They earned a loyal customer here.

    Incredibly bad experience picking up a car on a Saturday morning. One person was working and was running around trying to handle multiple customers. The car type I reserved wasn't there, so I got the "free" upgrade but was charged the upgraded price. The employee couldn't undo that so instead she said I would be credited back the overcharge at the end of my rental. I didn't think an IOU was appropriate here. The "upgrade" was the filthiest rental car I've ever seen. Long human hair (maybe some other creature, but not a dog) everywhere, on the driver's seat, center console, between the seat and console...brown grime in the cup holders. How that car even got in front of a customer with no one from Enterprise saying "hang on, let's at least get all this hair out of here", I have no idea. Warning messages lit up the dash on startup, including low key battery. I went back in and landed on the key issue to mention first. The employee rummaged through their supply drawer and couldn't find a fresh battery. She then offered another car, which was fine with me. This one was clean. She said she would email me the revised rental agreement later. She never did. I've been an Enterprise customer for a long time, and this experience was awful. Enterprise should be embarrassed for how this location is being run.

    Car was so clean and comfortable ! Easy pick up and drop off. The Chelmsford office has wonderful customer service! At pick up and drop off, Collin and Vicki were very patient and kind. Bravo for making a busy rental business feel very personal. Thank you both.

    While the on-site staff is stellar, the overall operational experience requires extreme caution. Mandatory advice: Take time-stamped photos and videos of the exterior, interior, mileage, and fuel gauge before driving away and immediately upon return. During our first rental, we were overcharged for fuel despite returning it full. The vehicle was physically clean but covered in severe water spots, requiring us to clean the windows and mirrors ourselves for safe visibility. A subsequent rental (JFK to MA) highlighted deeper QA and billing issues: Car 1: Nearly brand new but had a defective handbrake. Car 2: Reeked strongly of marijuana. Car 3: Acceptable interior, but again covered in hard water spots (appearing to be a company-wide washing policy of not drying vehicles). Billing Error: Upon return, I was hit with an unjustified $160+ fuel overage charge with zero proof provided. After presenting my photographic evidence, I was refunded. Management claimed the charge erroneously carried over from the first defective car. Their system appears prone to applying random overage charges, especially for fuel, without documentation. If you do not retain strict proof, you will lose your money. I will continue renting from them for convenience, but only with absolute documentation.
