But today I was a big girl and went down to AAP to grab a much needed battery and the staff was SO HELPFUL. I was going to make the process more difficult for myself, so I was not a bother and the woman came out and helped me through the process with so knowledge about her job I was immediately at ease. The boy working the counter was doing a great job helping as well, but had no problem asking for help when my question was a little above his ability to answer confidently. I will be coming back here again for sure and I might not even need to wait for the husband. THANK YOU! Coming from a massive retail background, that girl is a rock star.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
