We walked the plaza from Cvs all the way to the store “advanced auto parts” at 700 Boston Road in Billerica mass. I never thought that they would be able to not only sell me a new battery at a good price but also install it right away, walk to my car, which was across the entire parking lot. The service was impeccable, the kindness of the employee who took us in and said he would help us (Angel) was above and beyond. He walked with us kindly all the way to our car, reassured my son who was afraid that everything would be OK that we would be home in no time and that he would be able to handle the situation. He was humble and polite. I am so grateful for this experience I just had with Angel at advanced auto parts at 700 Boston Road in Billerica, MA today. I would recommend the shop to anyone. 5 stars!!!

What are the signs of a bad car battery?
Signs of a bad car battery can range from the need for frequent jump starts, slow to start, cranks or clicks but won't start, dash lights work but the vehicle won't start, etc.

HOW DO BRAKES WORK?

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
