- CSCharles SJun 22, 20263.0I brought a carquest mass air flow sensor for my car on 6/20/26. Like to point out I was sold the wrong sensor originally & had to drive back to get the right one! After comparing the data from my old sensor with the new carquest sensor (using a obd2 scanner) I found out my old sensor is good. So I tried to return the carquest sensor on 6/22/26. I mean it’s still new, I brought it 2 days ago. Guy behind the counter says it’s electrical, it’s not refundable. So I look on my receipt for that information, it’s not there. He points it out on a paper, attached to a clip broad hanging from pole. Your return policy for electrical items should be on the receipt or clearly visible for customers to see. Don’t get me wrong, the money is not an issue. I have an issue with trying to return something & out comes a no return policy from behind a counter!

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle. In drum brakes, the piston moves two curved shoes lined with friction material against the inside of the brake drum.
