  I've rented from here a couple dozen times as it's part of my corporate travel program. It's generally fine, but occasionally not. Today there were no cars immediately available and a dozen people waiting - I was told I could wait but there was no concept of how long that would be. "Maybe a few hours, I don't know."

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Matthew at National Car Rental in the Shreveport Airport is the definition of outstanding customer service. After another rental company left me stranded at the airport despite having a confirmed reservation, I walked over to National feeling defeated, stressed, and honestly wondering how I was going to salvage my trip. Matthew saw what had happened and immediately stepped in. He looked at me and said, “Give me thirty minutes to figure this out, and I’ll try to help you as best I can.” For the first time that day, someone actually cared enough to try. True to his word, about thirty minutes later Matthew came back with a smile and said, “I have good news.” I jokingly replied, “Are you going to save my life?” Turns out… he did. He found me a vehicle, got me on the road, and completely turned my day around. After hours of frustration, excuses, and being told to “figure it out” elsewhere, Matthew did exactly what exceptional customer service is supposed to do: he solved the problem. He was kind, calm, professional, and genuinely compassionate from beginning to end. He never made me feel like I was a burden. He treated me like a person whose situation mattered. Matthew was, quite literally, a knight in a shining blue polo. National, if you’re reading this, recognize this employee. People like Matthew are the reason customers come back. He didn’t just rent me a car. He rescued the start of my vacation and reminded me that great customer service still exists. I’ll be looking at National first for future trips because of him. Matthew, thank you. Five stars don’t do you justice.

  I flew late when everything was closed so they weren’t able to get me the size Vehicle I needed but recommended I return in the morning. When I returned, Mathew helped find a vehicle that would meet my needs. 10 out of 10 working with all staff people were polite, professional, and worked to understand my situation so they could find me the right fit. Thank you!

  Lady during the evening shift on 6/6/26 @8:51pm Needs to be trained on hospitality! She did not greet me nor verify the drop off & was on the phone during the whole process, I had to come back inside to modify the drop off location & asked to email the update location and I got was “mmhm” and continue to talk on the phone Like where are the social skills ?! Made me feel unwanted for no reason
