  I had a great experience at the monroe airport national thanks to Delwin! He went above and beyond for any issues that I could have and had my car ready with the additional equipment I needed when I arrived. Out of all the nationals I’ve been to for travel related work Delwin’s definitely been the best employee I’ve seen and everyone and the national desk were very welcoming and kind.

  It doesn't get any worse than this. For starters, the employee was 40 minutes late to his shift. When it was finally our turn to pick up our reservation, he told us there were no cars available and to come back the following day at 9am. He explained that Expedia, the third-party company we used to book the reservation, does not maintain an accurate record of the vehicles that National has on-hand. The customer after us was trying to exchange his vehicle because his current rental had a flat tire. The employee told him the same thing, come back tomorrow at 9am. After calling customer service, I was told they would escalate the situation to upper management. I then took it upon myself to look on National's website to check their inventory. Sure enough, they had reservations available from this exact location. We desperately needed a vehicle as we do not live in Monroe. I returned to the National customer service desk and asked the employee why National's website was showing they had cars available. He then says he will help us "after this flight" (a flight had just deplaned). We told him we had been waiting for a long time, to which he responded "alright I'm not going to help you guys. You're being rude and disrespectful." If you are curious what the "disrespect" was, here's exactly what my dad said word-for-word; "How come you can't help us out now? Because we have been waiting for 4 hours here sir, 4 hours." To which the man replied, "Alright I don't have anything to give you guys..." He then proceeded to provide vehicles for several people, including customers who he had also told to come back the following day. He repeatedly told us he will not help us. As a result of this, we were left with only one option; pay for a hotel in Monroe. Fortunately, he decided to provide a vehicle for the customer who had a flat tire. That customer was generous enough to give us a ride to our hotel.

  No customer service. No details about my plan, no info given, nothing. Closest I got to customer service was when asking to get a rental for another day during the week. Was told "its better online". At this location, anything besides human interaction was better with national. Do everything online first and verify through there. Besides that, the worker will not care otherwise. Overall, national is a good rental company. Just depends on location.

  $149.00 for a one day rental to travel under 50 miles was overpriced by $100.00. Next time we will use an Uber service instead of National Car Rental at Monroe Regional Airport.
