  Don't count on Penske having the equipment you order and need at this location. They drive the equipment over from Lafayette and deliver it to the Lake Charles Home Depot. (Mr. T at Home Depot Rental is a great guy!) Or on some days they don't. I needed a covered cargo van to move some furniture into an assisted living facility on a rainy day. They did not deliver the van. Instead, they offered me a 16' box truck they already had at the Lake Charles location. No thanks, I was paying a premium for a cargo van to meet my particular moving needs. That's what I ordered, that's what I had a confirmed reservation for, and that's what they did not deliver. I can get a 15' box truck any day of the week for much less than Penske prices. I spoke to the District office in Lafayette and to Cyrus at corporate. Neither said they would honor their agreement to provide the equipment I rented. They said "read the small print on the website, we don't guarantee any particular equipment." OK, but read my small print: I don't do business with people who want to charge a premium for particular equipment they don't deliver. I asked for them to refund my money plus an additional $50 because they had now upset my moving schedule by not having the equipment promised. "We can't do that, we can just give you a discount on a 16' box truck." That's not "taking the stress out of moving" for me. Thats no accountability and no ownership for screwing up my move. I needed a cargo van, I ordered a cargo van, I had a confirmed reservation for a cargo van. But that's not their problem. That's their take on customer service.

  I called to ask for moving-truck, prices and what's available. But the man I talked with, sounded half-asleep, or drugged. And very careless, and not knowledgeable. So, I may have called near their lunch hour? And he did not want to talk.? Well, he was too quiet, and unprofessional. And me paying $1.oo per mile, driven,.. seems OUTRAGEOUS, to me.!! Plus rental fees, too? Much too expensive.!!
