I wanted to leave an exceptional rating and review but, after driving away with my brakes, rotors, and calipers replaced but no longer having a parking brake, I'm not in that mindset anymore. After getting home, I noticed my parking brake felt loose and did not engage. My car is a standard shift so the parking brake is kind of essential. I took my car back, waited for an hour, then was summoned out to the garage. A young man tried to explain that since my car is sooo old, (it's a 2015) that the brake cable was never replaced and now it's stretched and not going to work as well. It worked perfectly fine when I dropped it off, but now I can push the car by hand with the brake fully engaged. So, now I'm told if I want a parking brake, I have to take it to a shop with those tools as they can't fix it. Idk what to think, to be honest. I just know that my parking brake worked great before Mavis replaced parts and now it doesn't. You do the math.

I had an excellent experience with Jason at the Mavis Tires & Brakes location on Ryan Street in Lake Charles. I want to be clear that this review is specifically for this location.
Even though they were extremely busy, everyone remained professional, courteous, and organized. They had several technicians working, so they were able to get my vehicle in within a very reasonable amount of time.
What impressed me most was the honesty and transparency. Jason took the time to show me exactly what my brakes and rotors looked like and explained everything in detail so I could clearly understand what needed attention and why. Before coming here, I had visited other shops where I didn’t feel confident in the recommendations I was being given. At this Mavis location, I never felt pressured or like anyone was trying to sell me services I didn’t need. Instead, I felt informed, respected, and comfortable making the right decision for my vehicle.
Jason was exceptionally professional, knowledgeable, and patient throughout the entire process. It’s hard to find honest, trustworthy customer service these days, and he definitely delivered. If you’re looking for a shop that values integrity and treats customers with respect, I highly recommend the Mavis Tires & Brakes location on Ryan Street in Lake Charles. I’ll definitely be returning for future service.

I was in Lake Charles on a mini vacation and my car started acting up. I went and explained I was trying to get home. He was so nice to me and car taken right away to bay. It needed a new alternator and fixed in 3 hours. So grateful to them!
