  Best and easiest car rental experience I’ve ever had in NOLA - and definitely the top choice if you’re visiting (which keep reading to make sure you don’t get scammed). I reserved my car 30 minutes in advance - and received the exact car I originally booked, too - without any hassle of showing your ID and reservation to 4 different people before leaving, getting stuck at a counter waiting for them to get your car, or waiting in a long line to leave the queue. The rep was fantastic and it took me less than 2 minutes to get my vehicle - it was already in front waiting for me and ready to go. Be warned - one rental agency in Metairie would repeatedly swap out the model of car I reserved, sometimes waiting up to two hours to get my rental (i.e, reserved van for a family road trip, tried to give me a Porsche, another time tried to sub a Toyota RAV 4 at the same price as the van and I needed it for a college move). Two separate and different agencies failed to replace the oil, and I ended up paying $80 for an oil change a day into my trip that they’d never reimburse me for. Another agency once gave me a damaged vehicle, then tried to claim I damaged it - and I had to send the video I took of the condition of the car before leaving the garage to get the charges reversed. (Insist on getting the model you reserved, you may need to call corporate for help, that’s how awful these agencies are here. And always take a video of the car before you leave, too - inside and out.) Many times I’ve received filthy and dirty cars from agencies that haven’t even been thoroughly vacuumed- and this car from SIXT was nearly brand new and incredibly clean. Definitely recommend using the e-check in. Thank you for making this a fast and seamless process and providing exceptional customer service - you really made my day! Will definitely book with you again over any other agency here, even worth the longer trip to the airport.

  Ricardo provided fast and friendly service! Made me feel very welcomed and cared for. The checkout process was smooth and Ricardo was very knowledgeable about his job and did not leave out any information about my rental and what was expected.

  Absolutely great experience with Sixt at MSY! They have an excellent selection of vehicles, especially if you’re looking for something nicer than the typical rental car. They had a BMW M4 G82 available along with multiple beautiful BMW SUVs. Trina was fantastic and went above and beyond to accommodate me into a BMW X3 M50, which is absolutely beautiful and made the rental experience that much better. She was very helpful and made the process smooth and easy. Ahmed was also great when I picked up my keys. He was extremely kind, welcoming, and even took the time to recommend some local restaurants and places to check out. That kind of customer service really makes a difference. Overall, an excellent experience from start to finish. Great vehicle selection, great staff, and great customer service. I’ll definitely be using Sixt again whenever I’m in the area!

  I appreciate the digital key access. Upon arrival it was easy especially for a person who suffers with social anxiety and other stressors. When I returned the vehicle, I was having a bad morning and my representative named Gregory made my day a little better. He expressed genuine concern about my rental experience as well as my visit to New Orleans which was my first time. I love when representative provide good old authentic customer service.   Sixt — New Orleans Airport (MSY) · Malik, Demarcus & Ahmad We landed an hour and a half behind schedule, and by the time we reached the counter the SUV we had reserved was no longer available. That's a fair outcome for a late arrival, and I understood it. What happened next is why I'm rating this branch the way I am. Malik didn't hand me a shrug or a "sorry, nothing we can do." He first worked the available fleet to find something that would get us on the road. When nothing matched what I actually wanted — a BMW SUV — he didn't push me into a downgrade just to close out the transaction. He laid out my real options, including one most counters never offer: defer the pickup to later the same day and wait for the right vehicle to come back in. Then he did the thing that separates good service from exemplary service. He wrote his own number and the evening manager's number — Demarcus — in bold marker on a Sixt card and handed it to me. Not a hotline. Not a queue. Direct contact with two people who had put their names on the outcome. That afternoon I texted, exactly as we'd planned. The team was already on it — they acknowledged the situation immediately and told me to come back to the branch to pick up an upgraded BMW. Promise made in the morning, promise kept by evening. And the finish matched the start. Ahmad handled the key handoff, and the same high-touch communication carried straight through to the last step — he knew the situation, walked me through the vehicle, and closed it out like someone who had been part of the plan all along. Nothing was dropped in the handoff between shifts. That's the piece most operations lose, and it's the piece that turned a recovered situation into a genuinely great one. Three things stand out: Honesty up front. Malik told me plainly what was and wasn't available instead of overselling. Options instead of excuses. He gave me a choice I could actually control rather than a take-it-or-leave-it. Follow-through with names on it, start to finish. Malik and Demarcus put their numbers on the outcome; Ahmad delivered the finish without a seam. This is a dream team, and the branch clearly runs on rental readiness and real ownership of the customer's outcome. Malik, Demarcus, and Ahmad turned a situation that could have soured the whole trip into the reason I'll book Sixt again — and the reason I'm saying so publicly. Thank you to Sixt for the caliber of the people running this location.
