I can’t say enough good things about Courtesy Ford in Breaux Bridge, especially my salesman, Jody Castille.
I had already been to four different dealerships trying to solve a very specific problem. My wife, Dena, and I own a camper, and with my previous truck we were getting pushed all over the highway every time an 18-wheeler passed us. It got bad enough that Dena actually refused to go camping anymore until we found a safer tow vehicle.
Ironically, it wasn’t a dealership that finally pointed us in the right direction—it was Dena. She asked for advice in a Facebook camping forum, and that’s where we learned about the importance of payload, not just towing capacity. Once we understood that, everything changed. I started visiting dealerships and sending Dena pictures of truck specifications, door-jamb payload stickers, and window stickers. Four dealerships later, we still hadn’t found anyone who really understood what we needed.
That’s when I met Jody Castille at Courtesy Ford.
I have to admit something. I intentionally showed up in dirty clothes with my hair completely messed up because I wanted to see whether a salesman would judge me by my appearance or treat me with respect. Jody treated me with courtesy, professionalism, and genuine respect from the moment we met. He never made me feel like I wasn’t worth his time.
Instead of trying to sell me just any truck, Jody listened. He understood exactly what I was trying to accomplish, helped me find an F-150 with the right specifications, answered every question I had, and never pressured me. He followed through on everything he promised. That kind of honesty and customer service is becoming harder to find.
Another thing that impressed us was the pricing. My wife is the former CEO of a credit union, so she pays very close attention to numbers, dealer fees, and add-ons. Before we bought the truck, she researched what a fair drive-out price should be and even compared the numbers using AI. It confirmed that the deal we were getting was excellent. There were no surprise add-ons or hidden fees. She did question one item on the paperwork, and instead of brushing it aside, Jody patiently explained exactly what it was. By the end, we were just as happy with the price as we were with the truck.
The night we brought the truck home, my wife Dena, my son, my dog, and I all piled in just to go for a ride because we couldn’t get over how smooth and quiet it was. This is the most I’ve ever paid for a vehicle. But by the end of that first ride, Dena and I looked at each other and agreed—it was worth every penny.
I know people buy trucks every day, and to some this may be “just another pickup.” But for us, it marked the end of months of research and the beginning of enjoying camping again. We joked that we felt like the Beverly Hillbillies driving around in our fancy new truck—except instead of striking oil, we finally struck the right payload! We probably put more miles on it that first evening just riding around with smiles on our faces than most people do in a week.
If you’re looking for a dealership that values people instead of just making a sale, I highly recommend Courtesy Ford in Breaux Bridge. Ask for Jody Castille. He earned our business, but more importantly, he earned our trust. We couldn’t be happier with our new F-150.
