After going to the Jeep dealership, I was told that I not only needed to repair the entire racket pinion, but the parts needed to repair my wheel alignment was not going to be covered under my extended warranty. We immediately called Chris, the Mechanic, at Mavis Tires and Brakes on Essen in Baton Rouge! He informed me that the entire racket pinion did not need to be repaired. The only part that needed to be repaired was the bent interod. We immediately set up an appointment to get the part ordered and to get my car in to be repaired.
When I tell you Chris, the Mechanic, was knowledgeable, transparent, real and immediately repaired my vehicle. This man is truly honest, will not just follow the crowd like others, is very ethical and works with integrity and we appreciated that from the bottom of our heart. Everything was set up quickly. Chris, the Mechanic, is so efficient and is about business! He kept us informed every step of the way when it came to my car and we can't say thank you enough!
Chris, the Mechanic, truly deserves not only a raise, but a promotion! He is the type of employee that you want on your team! If you need your car repaired, take it to Chris, the Mechanic at Mavis Tires and Brakes, your car will definitely be repaired the right way, no doubt about that!

Andres was such a great help! After having a failing alternator and battery, he was able to get it all worked out so that me and my fiance could get to the doctor in a reasonable amount of time. He is awesome!!!

When I say a true God send, I truly mean a God send! I had come out of town and my car was involved in a pothole accident. I ended up having to replace and get a brand new tire; the place that I replaced the tire only did balance and not a wheel alignment. After several failed attempts of trying to get it aligned at the dealership, God led me to Mavis Tires and Brakes. When I walked in, the associate helped me right away and Chris, the mechanic, took a look at it right away. Chris was very knowledgeable and professional; he fixed the wheel alignment right away and even thoroughly explained what the problem was on my vehicle. He fixed all of the areas that he could and even took the time to look under my vehicle to make sure he didn't see any other damage from hitting the pothole. He showed me the damaged areas and showed the areas where he was able to fix it. I really appreciated that so much from the bottom of my heart! He truly took the time to see what the problem was, resolved what he could and advised me on the area that needed to be fixed with my extended warranty at the dealership. If you have a tire, alignment or mechanical issue on your vehicle, please be sure to take it to Mavis Tires and Brakes on Essen and ask for Chris the Mechanic. He will definitely have your vehicle in A plus condition after repairing it. My boyfriend and I can't say thank you enough from the bottom of our hearts! ❤️❤️We will definitely be back if the need arises in the future!
I would not recommend this tire shop based on my experience. Alex, the employee who worked on my vehicle, was extremely rude and lacked basic customer service skills. He was not personable at all and made the entire experience uncomfortable. I was also quoted a price that was significantly higher than what I should have been charged, which was very concerning.
To make matters worse, the brake pads were not installed properly. Because of the poor workmanship, I had to take my vehicle to another shop to have the issue corrected, resulting in additional time, expense, and frustration. Overall, I was very disappointed with both the customer service and quality of work and will not be returning.

Alex the manager is disgusting. Tried to cost me more money than needed and messes up cars left and right. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself money and time. DONT GO HERE
