- LGLisa Griffie2 days ago1.0The price on this battery was $184.99 and they told me if I bring in my old battery that I would get some took off (core charge) $22 well if you look at the picture it will show that they added $22 just to take off $22 for the core and they said it was part of the tax or what ever but the tax on the battery was $11.10 with my core charge I should have only paid $162.99 but because I brought my old battery in for the discount I ended up paying $11.10 on the original cost making it $196.09 I got ripped off is what happen
- JSJesse SteinkeFeb 14, 20265.0Great assistance for an unusual emergency in early October 2025. Had a 2014 Jeep with Ram 1500 brakes on it and lost a caliper bolt. I wish I would had written down the name of the person who helped me. He helped me figure out which bolt I needed even through Ram changed from imperial bolts to metric somewhere along the line. Felt bad that he spent like 45 minutes with me to figure out a $5 part, so I stocked up on oil and coolant. Granted it makes for a long term customer who looks at Advance Auto parts before their competitors for parts.

Brakes work by using friction to turn kinetic energy into heat. There are two designs: drum brakes (older), and disc brakes (newer). Both use hydraulic pressure to move a piston outward. In disc brakes, the piston is located inside a caliper that houses brake pads and fits over the rotor. The friction lining on the pads makes contact with the rotor to slow the vehicle.
