  Recently took my car out to Tire Discounters in Paris to have new wheels and tires installed. It took a couple of days to get the install done only because the employee, who works on corvettes only, was out the first day. Gary Geddings did an awesome job communicating the conditions and notifications of when to bring my car out for the install. They did an excellent job of taking special care of the tire/wheel mounting and balancing prior to the install. All in all, another great experience at Tire Discounters in Paris, KY.........I know now why they stay so busy,lol.

  Long story short: My car was returned to me in a worse condition than when I brought it I took my car to get inspected because I was thinking the serpentine belt may need to be replaced. I told the tech what I thought the issue may be and his response was “so you want us to go ahead and replace the serpentine belt?” . I told him I wasn’t 100% sure that was the problem and I would like it to be double checked before replacement. I found it weird the tech asked me if I wanted to do a service without knowing if I even needed it. During inspection I was told my battery terminals were corroded and would need to be cleaned. I had not had any issues with the battery and the last test a month ago it tested fine. It started up that morning fine and presumably started up well enough to get into the bay. They quoted me $450 (!!!) to replace the battery and $150 for an oil change. I told them I was fine paying just for the terminals to be cleaned. When I arrived to get my car, the tech left it on when pulling it to the front which I thought was odd. I went to Walmart immediately after leaving and my car would not start once I got out of the store. I called Tire Discounters and they said “oh yeah we did have to use a battery starter to start the car” . No one had mentioned this at any point in our communications and I have never had an issue starting my car in the almost two years I’ve had it including that very morning. They had to send someone to start my battery up and I got a new battery at Walmart for $300 less than they quoted me. I will never get a service or inspection done here again.
