Don't even question it, bring your ride over to Gearhead. I called about bringing in a difficult motorcycle tire for help setting the bead, was told to swing on by and they'll take care of it. The guys immediately all jumped in on it, got the bead set in minutes with a few tricks, and sent me on my way with air in tire without even charging. That alone will bring me back time and time again. Appreciate ya, guys!

My experience not great.
Relace auxiliary water pump on VW Tiguan, quoted 4.25 hours approximately $230.00. I supplied part. Dropped off vehicle, we'll have it done this afternoon or tomorrow a.m.. Fine, just let me know so I can make transportation arrangements. OK.
5:15pm no communication from Gearhead. I call them. Oh yeah, we're just now pulling it in. It'll be ready on the a.m..
No communication again (day 2). 2:45p.m. I call them, whats the status. We got the part on but it still runs hot. You want us to diagnose? Yes. It's probably the thermostat, it's embedded pretty deep in the engine. What is cost to replace? $450.00 for part and $650.00 for 4 hours labor. I picked up my vehicle at this point.
Gearhead Garage's lack of professionalism, integrity, consistent pricing and maturity are why I would not recommend. I would suggest considering S Squared for your European vehicle repair.
*I agree it is important to represent the facts accurately. You DID inform me the rate for labor was based on 4.25 hours in our initial conversation. (A printed quote would've prevented this.) Yes I did ask you to replace the part I provided. I had scanned the vehicle multiple time and was fully informed this was an issue. I did not imply this was the only issue. I also informed you I work at a parts house and get the parts at a big discount. At no point have I implied that (or expected) Gearhead Garage to guarantee the part installed would resolve the issue I was experiencing. Nor was it implied this was additional charges to the original work requested.
Furthermore, you also indicate the new part needed is actually $356.24, I acknowledge I may have gotten this wrong. This was derived from our phone conversation and the receipt you provided. The reciept indicating the total charge to install the new part to be $1045.77. Leaving the remaining portion of $689.53 for labor costs?
In any case, this does not negate the other issues.
This is my third time getting a service done at Gearhead. There is a reason for that, they are very honest and upfront about price and timing of each repair or service they’ve done. Each has been completed on or before the estimated time and everyone there is great to work with. They will continue to be my go to for service work on any of my out of warranty vehicles.
These guys are great! Highly recommended!
As an ex automotive technician, that can no longer do my own repairs due to medical issues, I am very critical of repair facilities. With that said I am very pleased with the service I received. The employees were very polite, and knowledgeable. The pricing was very reasonable. The work was done in an exceptional time frame considering what I had done to my vehicle. Would I recommend them to others ? Most definitely i would. I have nothing but respect for the people of Gearhead.
