I usually don’t prefer quick oil change shops, but I chose this location because it was close to my home and convenient. That decision turned out to be a big mistake. About 10 miles after my oil change, while driving around 45 mph, my engine suddenly shut off in the middle of the road. I was left stranded, which was both dangerous and stressful. After checking the oil myself, I realized the engine had been significantly overfilled with oil. This is a serious mistake that can cause major engine damage. I strongly believe this is exactly what happened to my car. The biggest issue with these places is that you don’t actually see what they’re doing. Customers stay in their cars, so there’s no way to know if they properly drained the old oil, replaced the oil filter, or even followed basic procedures. I’ve used quick oil change services before, but after this experience, I will never go back. In my opinion, many employees at these locations are not properly trained or experienced. If you care about your car, avoid places like this. Either change your oil yourself or go to a trusted, professional mechanic. A simple mistake like this can cost you an engine.
