- HSHeart Stone1 day ago1.0I have tried mostly all the rental cars and among all the car rentals I would not recommend National! The car was fine but the customer service is totally not!
- JMJason MoseleyAug 26, 20261.0I rented at the National Rental Car at SMF(Sacramento International Airport) and not only was the customer service terrible, the car selection as awful. When returning my car I told the guy of my issues in which he apologized and offered to make the situation right by crediting me back for 3 days of my rental. I thought wow this is very generous and too good to be true. And it was exactly that because they gave me nothing. As a loyal national customer I expected better!!! I would say never rent from National at this location!!!
- BMBrad MitchellAug 24, 20265.0National’s employees are always so pleasant to deal with. The Chevy Equinox was clean and full of gas. It took a while to figure out how to put the car into Drive since GM’s location for those controls is different than other car brands. Same for windshield wipers and parking brake. You play a game of hide and seek before you can drive away. There were no basic instructions in the glove box. Other than getting use to the controls the car was fine.

I think they took advantage of me. $70 as opposed to the $100 they charged me.

However, I am beyond tired of renting their cars that are dirty, have trash or someone’s luggage left behind n them, and whose tire pressures are as much as ten pounds of air over. This is an ongoing issue and one that has not been taken care of. If there were better options where I am at I would choose them. Instead, I just do a quick clean up and adjust tire pressures for safety.
