A little frustrating. When I called, they knew I'd broken down out of town, and also that AAA was towing me, with the option of just having it taken home, but they assured me that they'd get right after it, though they could make no promises given that they didn't know what was wrong with it. However, once towed to their shop, they made very little effort to get it done and acted like we'd never had the conversation before having it towed. And then, they refused to fix anything if they didn't fix every little thing wrong with a 20 year old car. They charged me $100 for their 83 point inspection of turn signals and filters and rotating air in the tires etc, none of which was authorized. And, of course, they very politely held my car and keys hostage. I'm giving two stars, because they were very polite the entire time they were extorting me. In the end, it took a $20 pulley and $30 serpentine belt, both in stock at the local parts house.
Response:
I was only charged half of an "inspection" that I did not authorize. My 20 year old car had some oil seeping from the valve cover and some coolant seeping from a weep hole engineered there for that very purpose. They didn't even try to fix the pulley I brought it in for. They stood at the counter talking to each other. I even offered to help them find parts, in hopes of speeding them up. And now they say that they understood, but that's not what they said that day. I talked to them on the phone, and when I pressed, they acted surprised and said, "Today? Oh boy, not today...." And that was before they even pulled the car in to check the blinker fluid and exhaust bearings. Reply sounds good though. The dishonesty costs them that star I gifted them.
