Very Disappointing Experience — Be Careful With This Shop
I brought my car to the Ken Towery on Nicholasville Road in Lexington to have four new tires installed. The car had an entirely new set of wheels—tires and rims—installed less than a year ago, but after my son hit a curb and damaged two tires, I decided to replace all four.
I paid over $1,000 for four new tires. As soon as I drove away, I noticed that one of the tire pressure sensors was no longer registering, so I immediately returned to the store. I was told the sensor was "missing when I brought the car in." If that was actually the case, why wasn't I told about it while they were installing the tires or before I paid and drove away?
Then came the upsell: I was told I should replace all four sensors for another $450. I declined and agreed to return the next day to have only the supposedly missing sensor replaced.
When I returned, the story changed. Now I was told two sensors weren't registering and the other two had low batteries. Again, these wheels were purchased brand new less than a year ago. After the work was completed, I drove away and two sensors still weren't working.
I cannot prove what happened to the original sensors, and I want to be clear about that. But given that these were nearly new wheels and the sensor problems appeared immediately after Ken Towery changed the tires, the experience left me seriously questioning what happened to the sensors that were on my wheels when I arrived.
What bothers me just as much is the constant attempt to upsell me—from a $1,000+ tire purchase to suddenly being told I needed another $450 worth of sensors, with the explanation changing from one visit to the next.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend the Ken Towery on Nicholasville Road. I left feeling like I was being upsold at every opportunity and with more problems than I had when I arrived. Stay away from this location, or at minimum document the condition of your wheels and TPMS sensors before handing them your keys.

Got a flat tire literally right across the street so this was the closest place to pull up to. They wanted $40 for a plug only to then be like "unfortunately the tire is not repairable". Bullshit. We said just put the spare on and he did, so that's worth 1 star. We got the tire plugged free of charge with no issues at a different tire shop and it's still good.
TLDR; If they see a chance to scam a person in need they will. They will tell you a tire is irreparable when it's not. They will charge insane prices and don't deal in used tires because it's a "liability".

The mechanic was great. The manager did not listen to the mechanic and was giving me misinformation to spend more money there to keep fixing a car a car that was almost dead. The mechanic is the one that told me I needed to sell it because it was not safe to drive outside of town. Manager told me it was safe to do a 4-Hour trip pulling a trailer.

Went in for an alignment because my camber was out in front -2.3 and my toe was at -2.01! Left out with -2.9 front and toe was -2.5! They tried saying they couldn’t do my alignment because my camber bolts was broke but I knew they wasn’t and the fella had already admitted to only ever doing 4 alignments in his lifetime. When I went to prove him wrong to his manager bc his manager was trying to say my cam bolt was broken too even tho he knew it wasn’t and started to catch a attitude and get rude with me. I even had to calm the situation by stating “I’m not going to argue with you”. I would never recommend this place to anyone for an alignment until some people earn some experience and until this company can gain some better customer service and take better care of their customers like all these competitors they have do.

I received a quote on Sunday to have my alternator changed on my Infiniti QX60 2015. On Monday, the manager stated the original quote of $1200 would now cost $2200 because the radiator and ac would need changed. This caused me to have to drive my car to Midas to have the service completed for $1150. I would have stayed and allowed them to complete the job. I gave them my reason for leaving due to charging me for services as clearly shown on the Google photo are not necessary and cause more problems. Moreover, they charged me $142 for the service charge which I am disputing due to this concern.
