  The workers at the airport were excellent, no problem with them. The Honda Van not so much, the interior was dirty, it had no windshield solution, and the front driver side tire had a slow leak.

  I would like to complain about the experience I had with Alamo Car Rental Co. Located 203 N.LaSalle Chicago Il.60601. First I would like to state that the manager was kind, respectful, and apologetic, however that did not take away from the service we received. We arrived at our designated time to pick up a 7 passenger van for a trip we we're taking to Kentucky. We scheduled our time to leave so we could avoid driving on the highway where the only lighting that was available was the refectors on the side and on the pavement. We also had reservations and plans when we reached our designation in Kentucky. So can you explain to me why when we arrived at Alamo the van that should have be waiting for us was sent off and used for(we we're told) transporting other people for whatever reason to they're destination. We sat in that tiny office watching people come and get their reserved vehicles for an hour and a half, 90 minutes. So when that van finally did get there they gave us the keys and rushed us out. When we went to the car the 1st thing I noticed was the middle row was collapsed. We're we, two women (one a senior citizen) suppose to arrange the seats to a 7 passenger vehicle. An employee came and put the seats up after I complained and left immediately. So I had to find another employee to come and explain some questions we had about the car. So we did have to drive several hours in the pitch black dark . We we're late for other reservations I suffered several anxiety at that time. So when I asked could I drop the car off at a closer location to my house, the manager said yes but I probably would be charged, can I drop it off after hours, yes but I might be charged extra. No accommodations for me at all. Well will I be compensated for my inconvenience. We'll see when you get back but you have to bring the car back to this location. I know this service was not right. Although the manager was respectful the service was not. I would like to hear a response from you to hear where you stand on the type of server we received. I also expect to receive compensation for the service we received and didn't deserve. Reservation# 37272058 Brenda Favors

  I had a great experience with Alamo. From the start with customer service, to choosing an upgrade. We absolutely loved the Rubicon Jeep, while traveling through the country side. The return process was easy as can be.

  I rented a van from Alamo at Bluegrass Airport for a week in May. During our trip, the headlight began flashing on and off while driving at night, which was both alarming and a safety concern. During our drive at night going down and back. When going down someone must’ve called the state police. And told them our lights were flashing on and off. We eventually got pulled over and explained to the officer. It was a rental car. He stated that I probably should return the car and get a replacement. But no citation was given just a warning, thank goodness. In addition, the rear hatch would randomly open even when the vehicle was locked. I immediately contacted Christopher, the manager, and asked that the vehicle be inspected before it was rented to someone else. I also followed up with two emails. When I returned the van, the employee at the counter apologized for the inconvenience and said she would see if any type of credit could be offered toward my rental. After several follow-up emails, Christopher confirmed that the vehicle had been inspected and had been rented multiple times since my rental. However, despite the safety concerns and inconvenience, no credit or accommodation was offered. ** Update: Christopher the area manager in Lexington, Kentucky did get back with me and offered me $50 credit for my inconvenience. Absolutely ridiculous! I have been renting from Alamo for the past five years, but this experience and the lack of customer service have convinced me to take my business elsewhere. Based on my experience, I would recommend considering other rental companies.
