- CBCaden BastinMay 22, 20263.0Backstory: I pulled my car in and told one of the technicians that I was there for an oil change and transmission fluid change - he said ok. The ‘head guy’ came over several minutes later (after they had started the oil change) and I asked about the transmission fluid change, which caught him off guard. He advised that they don’t do transmission fluid changes there, which contradicts the website for the Danville location & the response from one of the other technicians. Issue: Long story short, my main goal was to get a transmission fluid change, but I only got an oil change (rather than leaving, because they already had me in the bay). I wish they were upfront about advising that they did not do transmission fluid changes before I pulled into the bay… if they were, I would have probably left and saved my 20% off (entire invoice) coupon for somewhere else. Reason for 3 Star Rating: -1 star for not being transparent upfront / before they began work. -1 star for not offering services that are clearly listed on their website I could arguably give a 2 star because it took them quite a while to move the car ahead of me out. I sat there for 10-15 minutes before they finished the car ahead of me, which simply got an oil change (and was already in the bay being worked on when I pulled up). I rarely leave bad reviews and have only had great experiences at the Valvoline Instant Oil Change located in Somerset Kentucky. This experience in Danville was not great - I don’t plan on ever going back… I’ll probably stick to getting service in Somerset.
