  I brought my car to ken towerys by sonic to have new tires put on and brakes done. Chris the tech made sure he looked my car over to see if it needed anything else he came to me to let me know my tie rods was in bad shape so I told him to go ahead and do them also. Chuck the older gentleman was real nice. Josh gave me my estimate and I told him to go ahead and do it. I will be back to their location. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. The last bunch that was in that location was no good.

  Find a different mechanic. My serpentine belt was on by a thread and I called to schedule an appointment at 2pm for 5pm. I was glad because their posted hours were open until 7pm. Great I could get my belt put on and return home to Lexington. They have contracted out their answering service to some foreign sounding call center. I’m sure they do this to increase their profit margin by not paying someone here to do it. The thick accented representative was nice enough and said the shop would fix me up same day no problem. Great. I get to the shop at 5 and they sent the mechanic home! The nice fella at the desk said he didn’t realize there was an appointment that day! I could have went to a different mechanic had I known or came by earlier! Now that it was 5pm no mechanic shop was open to fix my belt and I’m now stranded in Danville. All thanks to Ken Towery trying to save a buck by hiring a 3rd world country call center with a terrible communication process! They tried to get the mechanic to come back in but he refused. The front desk guy felt bad about it and said I should just try and drive home with the belt still half on. Well, I got about 5 miles outside of Danville when it snapped and now I’m stranding on the side of the road calling a tow truck that cost me $211. I luckily found a Lyft home for another $100. I call the shop the next day and ask for some help on the tow fee because this whole thing was the result of them not keeping their promise to fix my belt at the scheduled time and giving me bad advice to drive home. The gave me $15 off the belt fix. This place doesn’t deserve your money. Go to a mom and pop shop where when you call you get the actual mechanic that will fix your car and keep their promise.

  Tried to charge me 1500 dollars for tie rods. Go elsewhere

  Tire plug fix! Pretty quick & free since I had the service added when I bought my tires. They let me keep the screwdriver that punctured my tire too, which is a nice memento lol
