- JJJacob2 days ago1.0I’ve been to this Valvoline location in Lawrence a few times, and unfortunately my experiences have gotten worse each visit. The first time, they stripped the screws for my air filter box. It wasn’t severe enough to replace them, but it was still frustrating. The second visit, while removing the air filter, they dropped a leaf down into my blower motor because they weren’t careful. After I left, my AC started making a horrible noise. When I got home, I had to remove the blower motor myself and found the leaf inside. Luckily I was able to remove it and fix the issue, but it never should have happened. Against my better judgment, I gave them another chance. After getting home, I checked their work because of my previous experiences and found that one of the air filter box screws had been put back in at the wrong angle and tightened down hard enough to crack the air filter box. It’s not a massive crack, but I drive on dusty gravel roads regularly, so that can become a real issue over time. Mistakes happen, but after multiple visits with multiple careless issues, I won’t be going back. Double-check their work if you decide to use this location.

Then, I came and got the tires rotated in a matter of minutes and now my tires are messed up, and I have picked up a nail which couldn't have been anywhere but there. Now, the tire is rubbing and my tire pressure light is on, and I needs a new set of tires. I have to pay for tires with money I don't have and I am afraid to get on the highway. I was offered an refund but I haven't received it. Nor any acknowledgement it's been sent. This placed is full of kids starting out while messing up people's cars and they will have to pay for THEIR mistakes.
